He appears to be gone. The link on this site says something like "came in as a superstar, left as a [something disappointing or other]" Others have more recent info probably.... Has he fallen off the map?
Update: Man, I spent more time looking for this guy, but nothing. It wasn't made easier by the fact that there was apparently ANOTHER David Johnson who ALSO played for Willem II who is Jamaican and was transferred to Nott. Forest. They are definitely NOT the same guy (the other DJ has game!). Still no idea what happened to him after he was let go/bought out in June. His contract was supposed to run through the end of the season but apparently he didn't have game (?).
I feel this is a valid bump as I still want to find out where this guy is. He is a former Youth International surely good enough for MLS. ?
Was this the guy who occasionally got off the bench on Eddie Johnson's U-17 team? IIRC, he had corn rows? If so, I think he's going to college in the US.
The David Johnson at Forest is English, he went to Forest from Ipswich, and never played for Willem II. He's a product of the Man U youth system, the same crop with Robbie Savage, Scholes etc. He's the second David Johnson at Ipswich (first was in the 60s). Which leads to the question: Could you put together a team entirely of David Johnsons?
