It is a cruel world but it beats working for a living.

Since when is providing entertainment for a particular audience not considered "work?"

Ok, it is a cruel word but it beats laying pavement for 10 hours a day.

    How about that? Better?

Not really. It needs "work." LOL

Something tells me that Dante could see MLS action before the season ends, if not by the all-star break.

If he keeps producing, He could be a lock for an expansion team in '05 as well.

Considering that he will be 34 - 35 in '05, I doubt that he will be a lock. Also with there not being an agreement between MLS and USL, it will be harder for teams to call up players from the A-League.

Dante will be teaming up top with one Roy Lassiter.

I wonder how many balls they are going to manage to lose together? Pato plays for Hampton Roads as well.

Some may not know this, but the A-League started last night with HR Mariners v Cincinnati Riverhawks. HR beat Cinci 3-2 in a good night for former Crew players. Dante had two goals and an assist, including the game winner, and one Pato Aguilera had one goal and two assists.

Move Virginia Beach now! Oops, sorry, wrong thread.

When I was co-oping in Norfolk, VA, I used to go to Hampton Roads Mariners matches whenever I could. Then they played at some local high school in Virginia Beach. It was a good time.

I wish Dallas would sign him.

and another former Crew player in Nelson Akwari..did he really fall that far that fast? And Amani Dove seems to be playing for VA Beach now. I used to work 5 minutes from the soccer plex in VA Beach..never seemed to be any excitement about the facility down there.

Akwari is not a "former Crew player". He is on the current roster. The Crew is using the A-League to get some of the developmental players playing time that they would otherwise not get. A good deal all around.
