Exactly! Everyone's favorite 3rd kit (the amazing "fan created" black green red and gold number) is a fan favorite mostly because it was worn during our amazing 2014 season.

 

Wasnt Chris Thomas in charge of the Galaxy’s social media? He presided over the “Chamipons of the Stuhub Center” era and supervised Jenny Blakelylylylylylylylyly........

Maybe he’s better at designing soccer jerseys?

I’m one of the suckers who bought a jersey right at 10am yesterday. I bought one for me and my son.

24 hours later, I’m just hoping to see rumors of a player signing. Anything that can give me hope that we can be competitive again.

I will say that it’s nice for our marketing department to have a win. Feels like it’s been a long time since they had one. I just hope our FO and coaching staff can produce on the field where it really matters.

 

I had to go back and review that! I totally misremembered for that that was Hannan, for some reason. Yikes.

 

I love that kit. I have a women's version. This one is very cool and I'm sure it will be on most of our shopping lists.

 

Looks great from the front, but why is the back solid black?

 

To make the names and numbers easier to see on TV. Pretty standard on all Adidas shirts

His tweet just rubs me the wrong way. It sounds like he’s working hard to claim credit and simultaneously shed blame for previous year’s efforts. Maybe that was part of the ideation.

 

That's what I thought. Not exactly a "congrats, great team effort!" tweet.

 

So the marketing works. I was browsing the Galaxy shop, looking at the new jersey, and decided it was time to retire the old lid. New guy just arrived today!

 

Seeing what a hit the Community Kit has been first hand in the stadium, PR efforts seem night and day compared to previous years. It's not just the coach and the lockeroom; there seems to be a real effort to connect to the community that feels different as a fan from other years.

 

They are doing a lot of great and creative stuff on social media this year.

Asking for people to send in photos at the stadium and then recreating it inside the empty stadium. Good stuff.

I'm sure it helps to have the team win their first games too. It allows posting content like Greg's post game locker room talks and the slow mo goals etc.
