"The agent also divulged that one of the two leading contenders for his client's services is a Europa League entrant." Hmm...in France that'd be Lille, in Spain that'd be Mallorca or Getafe, in the Netherlands that'd be Ajax or De Graafschap (*pardon me*), and in Turkey that'd be Galatasaray or Besiktas.
I was reading in the Transfer thread that the clubs were Lille and Getafe, along with PSG as a possibility and Atletico. I have a feeling its Lille, not sure why.
I looked at Lille's wesite and couldn't find anything Beasley-centric. I did see who was in and who was out IN: Sow (Rennes); Fauvergue (Strasbourg, loan return); Baseya (Le Havre, loan return) OUT: Vittek (Ankaragücü, Turkey); Fauvergue (CS Sedan, loan); Benzerga (Nantes, Ligue 2); Butelle (Nîmes Olympique, Ligue 2, loan); Franquart (Charleroi, Belgium, loan); Aubameyang (AC Milan, Serie A, loan return); Rivierez (Le Havre)
He just tweeted in Dutch: Ja goed.. Rustig en miami!! Ik wil vandaag spreek nederlands! Maybe a hint?
New video interview with Beasley. It mostly deals with the World Cup, but he also mentions that he has a very good idea where he will play next season, it is in Europe, no official announcement likely for a week or so. His mom apparently wants him to play in the US, so MLS seems likely at some point.
In the interview, he says, "new team, new country, new experience, new chapter." You can rule out Scotland for sure, but maybe he wouldn't call either Holland or England a 'new country'.
I had the same thought. If he does mean entirely new country that would rule out the majority of clubs rumored to have been interested. It would leave Paris Saint Germain and unnamed clubs in Spain and Turkey.
Guys, I'm going to go ahead and close this one and give Beas a fresh start. Prowazekii has helpfully already posted the new video interview in the new thread.
