One of the strangest quotes by Judge Cooper was "The game is on higher ground; it behooves everyone to keep it there." Judge Cooper was presiding over a trial at the same time Americans were reading Jim Bouton's book Ball Four which eviscerated the notion that the game was on high ground. Most of my little league team was also reading "Ball Four." Really got on our coaches nerves when we would hone our pre-pubescent "beaver shooting" skills during games.
