The choice of the first 11 looks a bit strange in defense. Without Can I would have guessed it's a 4 man backline. Maybe Akanji as a LB is a possibility.

    Hitz
    Can Hummels Akanji
    Meunier Witsel Bellingham
    Sancho Hazard Reyna
    Haaland

    Or
    Meunier Can Hummels Akanji

I assume Favre understandably expects to win with any formation but it looks a bit messed up. It's like a mix of formations but the selected players aren't a fit for either one.

2:0 Bellingham, very unselfish by Hazard as well.
Even without that goal, I think it's obvious that Bellingham is a gem. He has speed both physically and in the mind coupled with a fine technique. He's someone we didn't have in the last years.
He got a useless yellow though and needs to be careful. Getting our players suspended is Duisburg's only chance.

3:0, nice direct freekick by Hazard after a red card for Duisburg.

Opposition is clearly not good enough... 0-3 with 10 men now

Marco made it 5-0. Final. So good to see Reus back in the lineup.

Completely agree. The opposition was so bad it was a meaningless match.

Even then the first half midfield is not going to get it done. It was early in the season, so not going to complain too much about Bellingham and Witsel, but that speed of passing won't work in the big matches. Both too slow with the ball at their feet.

Hazard at left wing back looked a decent option. Brandt is still making passes and it's worrying that our pressing only comes into play when Reus is on, which leads me to believe Reus is going against orders.

Huge game against Gladback on the weekend. I will take any sort of win.
