I think that Biggie playing today was an explicit request from Millwall that we accepted. Interesting that we've allowed 3 players to be Cup tied today. But I guess that speaks to the confidence Paladini has of keeping players like Buzsaky (seems certain) and perhaps even Vine as we head into the 3rd round in January.
Change for Palace -- Ryan Hall entering for Franck Songo'o. Colchester scored at Watford 40 seconds into the second half to take a 2-1 lead!
This match is on Setanta Broadband 2 for anyone with an online subscription. Delayed on DirecTV later this afternoon.
Yeah, I guess they figure that, if anything, we'll be deeper by January. I could certainly see Biggie available for permanent sale in January, although St. Aimie (and probably Bailey) are still young enough that we may want to hang onto them for a bit longer. That said, if the new manager doesn't see potential for them to break into the team based on where we want to be heading the next couple of years, we might as well sell them on... sort of the same reason that Chelsea might sell Mancienne to us -- good player with potential, but not likely to break in with them.
West Ham 2-up at woeful Derby. Jonathon Spector makes it 3! Ironically deflected in by another American - Lewis
Rowly with a free kick two yards outside the penalty area. Deflected out for a corner. Corner from Rowlands, but a foul called on Leigertwood. West Ham's up 2-0 now. That game must be over. Hasn't Derby only scored 5 goals this year?
West Ham with a 3rd. Americans in action there -- Jonathan Spector scores through the legs of Eddie Lewis, who almost kept it out. Edited to add that the World match tracker says that goal has been credited as an own goal for Lewis.
...and a third. We play Sheffield Wednesday in a couple of weeks -- hate to see them finding good form now.
Good counter from the R's. Sinclair with a run to help keep space for Bolder, who got the ball to Buzsaky. Played out for a QPR corner.
...after a bit of possession, another corner for the R's. Rowlands' effort was headed away to Bolder. Bolder to Buzsaky who tried to send it back to him, but it went out of play. Millwall has scored again to take the lead.
Call me juvenile, but I chuckled at the fact that Palace's three-letter abbreviation on soccernet's gamecast is "CRP." Yes, I'm juvenile! If anything, QPR leading is even more nervewracking for me. Ugh.
Sinclair with a shot one-on-one with the keeper, saved back to Sinclair, who shoots it over the bar. Sounds like he's started to cause them some trouble.
West Ham's 3rd judged an own goal (Eddie Lewis) Things are heating up at Selhurst. Let's get a 2nd Rs!
We're looking more dangerous at the moment. Buzsaky looking good in the middle. Sinclair causing some trouble out wide. We need to turn this pressure into a second goal.
