LISBON (AFP) - Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed his dream 2006 World Cup final would be Brazil versus Portugal. "We want to go very far. We are going to fight for a spot in the final and then for victory," he told sports daily A Bola. "We know it is difficult, but I would like to face Brazil in the final," the Manchester United player added Tuesday. Portugal lead European Group 3 and need to win either of their final two home games next month to qualify for Germany. Brazil, who won a record fifth World Cup in 2002, have already qualified for 2006 World Cup with two games to spare.
Its been said before but I will say it again, C. Ronaldo is pure class! And Im glad he won an award voted by the people because ultimately it is they who pay his salary (no fans, no sport ) and not the establishment that likes to pat itself on the back. Let Wayne Roonatic keep that award Viva CR17!!!!!
That would be a crazy match up wouldnt it!....No doubt in my mind that Nike would make a commercial for it...and a pretty damn good one as well....
Yeah i got that commercial....C.Ronaldo is in it for like 2 seconds...i dont remember seeing Quaresma.... But i wouldn't be surpirsed if nike made a new commercial....like..Ronaldo Vs. Ronaldo....each with thier own Nt jersey on....and they are playing posts or something and are in the streets just running around all over the place...
I got it saved on my cpu. Quaresma deeks some Brazilian then grabs the Brasileiro by the back of the head brings him close and tells him "ole" then he passes the ball to a really young looking (by todays standard) Ronaldo.
OHHHH shoot that was him...i didnt even KNOW....i Guess they regarded Quaresma in higher esteem then Ronaldo back then huh... That commercial was so fun, i hope someone does another Portugal Vs. Brasil soon enough!
This thread has gotten quite large, so it's time to close it up and open a new one, but what better way to end it than to applaud the youngster for an accolade that he recently won: FIFPro SPECIAL YOUNG PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD*: Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal/Manchester United) * as voted for by fans across the globe.
