Valid points but I think its also a different situation, Mina, Sanchez and arguably Jeison when he was fit are really good CB's who have played a high level who can do everything. So in this case I think Zapata who also wasn't as good or as big a leader as Yepes was for years for Colombia and his clubs. So with the better competition from better players playing at big clubs at a high level and with a worse player who isn't playing at all I think there is every reason for Zapata to not be called or at best be the 4th CB. Jeison seemed to be in the dog house but Mina had become a undisputed starter and Davison in the last year has done more then anyone to raise his level and play in big games and prove himself so at worst I think those 2 should be the starters if healthy.

That is exactly why Zapata needs to leave Milan this is what the 5th coach? They keep bringing dudes to bench him. Bench him for a long as time then give him his spot.

While not saying I want all our players to run away from competition. It’s not a fair one like the David Ospina one. His numbers are better but he is shorter and the Cech has to play per his contract.

Zapata at a Torino or Sampdoria will be a starter for another 3-4 years.

I like when you add text to the attached files you post.
Not because I am being a smart ass but because sometimes I can't see what the files look like without my glasses.

And he looks like a boss in that picture.

Seriously, with him starting these games I think it is safe to say he is an automatic for the list of 23. (And even if he wasn't starting all these games he was probably going to make it anyway.)

Ospina, Cuadrado, Quintero, Zapata.. Many players getting in good shape or at least getting important minutes just at the right time.

I mean. Cuadrado was injured. Ospina is a #2 goalie they usually never play and was also injured.

Zapata was sort of black listed on that team but yea now that he has actual play time that would leap frog him back to being our 3rd best CB.

Cristian Zapata is the best defender at AC Milan right now. I'm glad Gattuso finally has faith in Cristian.

isnt weird that a guy with 60 caps be the captain of colombia that have played since u-.17 youth teams.....Falcao, Ospina Aguilar and Him were the only survivors of the u-20 2005.........

Is funny how you some weeks ago you were uset defenidng sanchez of crzd comments.......but how easy you decide to bully zapata and make sarcasm comments towards him....

No surprise for me as well....

actually have been captain in a team with more prestigous and achievements than seleccion colombia...
