Oh no what will we do without Rogers!? He will not be playing Saturday! We sure will get our money's worth on Grendi
All I could think of is this f_ckstick doing one of these. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tq08yOneY_0"]YouTube - Oh, it's already been brought'n!*[/ame]
Ugh. That puts us in a bad position for Saturday, but at least it's not too serious. Moving Ekpo to Rogers' position seems like the best move to me.
Upper west and you have the sun behind you. Since Saturday's game is a day game, it probably won't make a huge difference though. Generally though, the west side will give you the better view. Not to mention, since the west side is facing the Nordecke (more or less), it gives a full-on audiological presentation. That side is also closer to the stadium club bar and post-game autograph alley. Good for parents and kids.
That would cause the Crew to go with 2 guys off the bench on the backline. Put me down for Grendi on the wing with Iro in the middle and Danny O moving to Frankie's spot.
Weather update...... Saturday: Mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the low 60s and lows in the mid 40s. This is from yahoo. Come on you Sun!!!!!!
Anyone know how tickets are selling? I saw a big ad in the Dispatch the other day. I hope it'll be packed, that would be a really great sight. I'll be sitting near the Nordecke for the first time (I usually sit in the club seats,) so I can't wait to see what you guys have planned, by the way. It would, but the attack would be so much more dangerous with Ekpo in that position. The first home game, there will be so much energy, the wild thing in me wants them to just try to go for the kill. The safer option is to go with the conventional wisdom though.
Hey all, I'm looking forward to making the trip down again this year. Last I heard there were 1800 away supporters tickets sold and that was a couple of weeks ago so it looks like we're not too far from last year's number. I expect we'll give you a better game this time around although both Guevara and Robinson will be gone for international duty. Barrett shit his pants early in our first match failing to make anything out of two clear opportunities. Look for Vitti to start this game if he's over his injury. Also of note is Adrian Serioux who now serves on our back line as a cb. He was very imposing and effective in game 1. Good luck and enjoy it. MLS is back baby!
It was a reasonable post with not a single hack or slice against Columbus, I'm not sure why the three of you seem to have a problem with the post from the TFC fan.
I liked Carvers recent quotes about how you guys give up too many fouls in your own end and give away set pieces. See, the problem is that Serioux is a bit of a hack, and well, that's like just begging Schelotto to score on you. But thanks for having something intelligent to say in our forum. It's rare that a TFC fan brings anything other than primary school smack talk.
Just want to second Fid and DandD. That was a perfectly fine post. Unless your reacting more to the ~2000 TFC fans making their way down here again and expecting the worst from them.
It doesn't so much matter what was said or what wasn't. Its the nature of rivalry and the fact that we play them this weekend. While I appreciate that he/she didn't come in and lambast us for not having enough port-o-potties or not selling out the stadium. Last time I tried to do the same thing on the Chicago board they told me to GTFO among other things. Our reaction was tame and even funny (thanks Jericho) by comparison to what we would get stomping around the TFC forum.
I'm just amused that, as always, TFC supporters first talk about themselves before their club. Notice the first paragraph was dedicated to self-love and the second attempted to break down the game.
I don't get the whole rivalry thing. Are we supposed to be rivals just because the league created a "rivalry" between us? Sure, their fans can be annoying, but to call it a rivalry is a bit much IMHO. Shitcago and DC are our rivals, not TFC. I'm guessing I'm in the minority on this one though.
I feel the same. There's a reason our victories against DC and and Chicago were so meaningful aside from the obvious way they factored into our run to the championship. As for TFC, with their persistent douchebaggery it's hard not to hate em. As the years go by, provided they will someday be capable competing, the rivalry will be legitimatized.
