    Quality time-killing sub tactics.

Do I dare speak negatively and say that ANOTHER positive Crew stat has gone the tubes with this match?

Well, it's the 87th minute, we're down 2-1, and our forwards are Sutton and Cameron. Did you need anything else?

I wish I was there just to run into drunken Ray Hudson and commend him.

We're getting outpossessed (is that a word?) and the soccer gods don't like us...we need to score more goals and not let as many in...San Jose is on a 6-game unbeaten streak, we were lucky to be competitive with a team on such a run...

You're not missing much. Maybe in the first half you were, but not now.

I'm startin' to hear some boos at last.

Sutton just misses getting his boot on it in front of an open net.

We may actually witness Hudson bursting a blood vessel right in front of us.

"Here's a kid whose so smart he used to pin his own diapers"
-Ray Hudson, talking about Ronald Cerritos as he kicks the ball of a Crew defender.

It looks about like our standard crowd for this year.

And for the second week in a row, if I'm not mistaken, a team that hasn't won in Columbus forever.... does.

And Hudson pronounces it "a gladiator performance" by the Quakes.

I can't wait to read CBC's kissing of Greg's *** in his report of tonight.

    Or

Greg's excuses of why we lost. To SJ. IN COLUMBUS.

Well my feed's telling me 2-1 Chivas and MLS matchtracker is saying 3-1 Chivas.

This is why I don't make predictions on Crew this season:

Well, I was wrong, actually. I came back downstairs, and I'm now in front of the TV watching HDNet -- it's 2-1 Chivas in the 31st minute.

G'night, folks. Gotta get up at 6:30 tomorrow to watch the Tour.

Sorry, Sirk is doing this one and probably the rest (I said it in my recently posted DC notebook). I did do my best to get him crunked before the game, though. ;)

As for Merz, I can't think of anything right now and I'm too tired to look it up. This year he has been far from an apologist and has brought up the topic of a coaching change on a few occasions.

My TV tells me 2-1 Chivas.

As for our side, they did look moderately better, but still never really threatened. Elliot's freekick was our only other chance on Onstad, and I'm pretty sure I could have saved it.

The highlight of my night was yelling at someone in 106 that kept calling Sutton, Marcus Storey. I think it was 5 or 6 times I yelled "It's Jamal Sutton" before they realized it. Not like it matters, as a result of him not scoring 4 goals, he'll never see the pitch again so long as Andrulis is in charge.

Should have gone up to the blind fella. :D

I didn't catch Mathis' goal. I look forward to the halftime replay of it. I could see that guy going on a tear down the stretch, I really can.

so... do we want chivas to win, or do we want real to win, so theyll have more points than us and we will be the worst team in the league, only ahead of chivas...

Pretty well taken, but the goalie probably should've had it. He cheated one way, the side the wall theoreticallly would have covered, and got beat to his side.
