Crew-New England Revolution 4/19/07 Let me be the first to predict that the floodgates will open at this game. Despite the two scoreless draws, the opportunities have been there, and with all of the attention that a Thursday night match in the new contract era draws, the boys will be pumped and ready. Crew 3, Revs 1 and Brook goes home happy.
Re: Crew-New England Revolution 4/19/07 I sure hope you are right. I do think that they will score in this game and hopefully the defense holds up like they have in the first two games. Our defense and Keeper look a lot better than Toronto so I don't think the Revs will put four past us. It would be nice to get the first win of the season on the espn2 telecast.
Votes cast by participants in the (Un)Official 2007 Crew Wagering Thread will be collected and used in the thread. Votes by non-participants will be ignored. A Thursday home match at 7:00 p.m. against the New England Revolution. "Buck a Brat" night; cheap meat! The NER have lost to the Fire and beaten Toronto FC. TV: ESPN2 Soccer Thursday Opener! Radio: 105.7 FM (Eng), 1550 AM (Esp)
Re: Crew-New England Revolution 4/19/07 Can a moderator move this to the pre-game/wager thread, please?
I feel the GBS news isn't going to be pretty, and there'll be a letdown on the pitch too. By season's end I think we'll be in good shape....but we aren't there yet. I'll take the spinners by two or more.
This match is all about Sigi's coaching. He has a solid team of hard workers that have shown in the past two games that they are serious about playing great soccer. He really needs to show that he is the quality coach that we all believe he is. Crew 2:1 Revs
When the Crew ends the season with 32 consecutive scoreless ties, Volumes and Volumes of books will be written about the great and holy duality of Columbus Crew. The stout defense that punished their opponents into submission. And the offense, that following the words of the Good Book showed Mercy on their enemies. And Pope Benedict will invite them to the Vatican and as one they will be granted sainthood. And their legend will be passed down through the generations. Forever and ever. Amen.
Where has all the Kool-Aid gone? We'll all be refilling our mugs after this one. 2-0 to the good guys!
Hey - I was already (apparently) wrong about the GBS news. I think I'm going to take the crown for worst predictor. Wait, that was a prediction too. Now I'm just confused......
The Crew haven't won a game that I have gone to since before "The Penalty Kicks". I'm showing up on Thursday, sorry guys.
On the contrary, they've won every game (while Sigi's been coach) that I've been to; and I'll be there Thursday.
Yeah that should of been done two games ago. ******** Garey he flat out sucks. my lineup that would guarentee a goal: ----------Greunebaum------------ Hejduk---Ezra----Gonzalez---Pierce ------------Szetela--------------- ---Gaven-------------Grabavoy--- ------------Virtuoso-------------- ----Kamara----------Ngwenya---- where the hell is Virtuoso and is Szetela back yet? And dont be fooled we are not really playing a 4-3-3. Two of the midfielders are still defensive mids. I just hope to god for once Sigi will take a risk.
we actually won a game at home during Sigi's reign? All I have seen is scoreless ties or 1-0 defeats. I sometimes feel like grabbing Sigi by the coattails and saying, "I Drive Six ********ing Hours Total! Could you just go a little offensive and actually attempt to score a goal! Please just once!" We only win on the road which is grand for home attendance. For my blog I changed the title to the right. "0-0 Ties Until I Die! 0-0 Ties Until I Die!" So I'm predicting another 0-0 tie.
You are very upset today. Perhaps you should try some breathing exercises. Or maybe consider not posting for a while until your blood pressure decreases.
