0-0 result. Upset that it is another week where we do not score a goal but at least the defense kept a clean sheet. Plus, we retain our top spot in the Eastern Conference when all is said and done.

Nice to have James back though I really did not see much out of him in this game.

Post game interviews revealed that Mendoza sprained his wrist during his tumble in the second half. Trainers think it is only a minor sprain, though, and that he should be able to clap in next week's game still.

Mendoza just kept running in a very small circle, applauding teammates. Whether this was at Crew Stadium or Kahoots is up for debate.

I thought it was a bold move by Warzycha to play himself in Rogers' place. Too bad Mendoza didn't get on the end of any of those crosses.

An ironic observation, coming from "Chr1st."

You people clearly weren't watching the same game I wasn't.

It was nice that this was the game they chose to put the Crew on ESPN2.

What does Chad Marshall have to do to get called up to the USMNT?

I was impressed with attendance for this one. Probably because this was part of the Mark McCullers Family Foot Rub 3 Pack.

Has it occurred to anyone that Marshall simply isn't the right sort of player to be an international A-team center back? Christ, just because he's one of the best ever in MLS does not mean he can play at the international level. Some players, for one reason or another, can't make the leap. Defending in MLS doesn't necessarily require the same skills and abilities as defending at the international level. SOME players have both sets of skills. Many do not.

    I'm fine with that.

I agree with you there. I also don't think Chad wants to go to that level of pressure.

Not that I want to compare Chad Marshall to Ezra Hendrickson in any way- by far Chad is and will always be the better player.

But I wonder how many games Ezra played in that his team was blown out by 4 or more goals. I know Chad's been in more than a handful...

Ezra also did not play for the US but for St. Vincent--and BTW this whole thread is a joke anyway.

I disagree. His play against FC Nobody mandates that he be given some national team time. He marked that team out of existence.

    ?

I know its a freaking joke, in fact its just one big hipster of a thread.

I was furthering what Timon was saying about Marshall, and wasn't relating it to National team like-n-like at all.

I just think people think Marshall is better than he really is, and was trying to slightly prove a point by comparing him to a player that most people thought sucked.

But regardless of all that, how can we relate this to German soccer and your trip abroad?
