Are they allowing Israeli flags for teams which have an Israeli player? Are there any currently in MLS?

The updated directive instructs teams to prohibit " any new flag" which references any party to the current mideast conflict.

So if you were already hanging an Israeli flag in support of an Israeli player, you won't be required to stop.

But if you suddenly decide to start, it won't be permitted.

Not to be too pedantic but nagbe is American/Liberian, Moreira is French/Cape Verdean, Farsi is Canadian but he has said he is holding out for Algeria, and You can add the USA flag to Gressel

Noted. And known. That is why Gressel & Nagbe are below the line, those are the duals. Though I did forget about Moreira & Cape Verde.

We were talking about foreign flags, so I thought USA was kinda pointless.

Why the eff are we letting Moreira go? The guy was a rock at Right Back until the 3 back system started being used and he was expected to suddenly start playing like a CB... which is not really his skill set. The guy is best going forward, and we then went and got Gressel? Things are not really adding up here, and I have missed a lot of posts, so I have not seen any about why Moreira might be leaving, if it is his choice or not. If we let that guy go, it will be a huge blunder. He's one of our sharpest players, overall. The guy GIVES A SHIT.

I think you answered your own question. He’s not playing in the position where he feels comfortable in this system.

I think his point is why did we sign Gressel when Moriera is suited for that position.

    1) We are not letting him go, he wants to leave/return home.

    2) He feels more comfortable at FB, reportedly. Though I openly question the accuracy of that report, the fact is, he posted a pic of his Crew jersey/locker with black & gold heart emoji's & "Last Dance" on it.

To me, it looks like he is gone.

This was also just before the last match of the season. So that raises the question: Last dance of the season, or last dance in Columbus?

And would someone who spent most of his career playing in France and for whom English is a second language, interpret "last dance" the way Crew fans are interpreting it here?

I see the point, but I'm less than convinced he's really gone. If he does leave, I have to think it's simply a personal decision and, for whatever reason, he wanted to head back to France to finish out his career. Hard to image that the Crew wouldn't want to re-sign him. But if he told Nancy and Bez, "I just want to go home," what can you do? No hard feelings.

If he does leave, it would be nice if he left with a MLS Cup ring on his hand, no?

Yeah this has been a season long rumor we have all talked about and tried to connect dots we really didn’t know for sure but what many of us suspected etc is going home and or playing a more attacking RB role. It will suck to lose him and just adds to list of needs at CB.

next year we will need more guys at CB and hopefully it’s a win win. If we can find a similar player to Moreira at 6ft/6’1 that would be great. Zawadzki can certainly take his spot and fit that mold ( not as strong as Steven ) but then we need more CDM which may or may not come from Crew2. We need a reasonable deal for Camacho and another Younger CB similar to Zawadzki.

Hardhead posted that Arace is saying the Crew will extend Moreira and Camacho. Gressel is less of a certainty to return.
