Crew Third Jersey

I was talking with a CBJ employee and (part of?) the reason they don't have a red jersey is because they don't want to associate with their rivals in Detroit.

I agree. A red jersey for us is out of the question. Let TFC, Chicago, and DC take the red.

A third jersey really should be something already associated with the team. The CBJ took their cannon theme and made it the focal point. The Fire took their city flag as the basis for a third jersey.

In summary: Bring back the grays, only this time we need gray socks.

 

I don't know that the Crew need a third when their pinstripe black get used about once a season. I actually like the black better but "Yellow Soccer team" is my favorite chant. It's like I'm arguing with myself....

 

I'll just toss out that next year is the city's bicentennial and a 3rd jersey that was an homage to the city flag worn to celebrate wouldn't be the worst idea for this one year.

 

If the Mexican flag and McDonald's mated, that is what the child would look like.

Steel, iron and concrete/cement are thought of to be this certain color. Hint, look in the club crest.

The street in front of the stadium is Black and Gold Blvd, but the jerseys are mostly yellow. If there is a need for a 3rd Jersey, why not Gold? I saw a cool looking Ajax Gold jersery a few years back in Amsterdam.

 

I got it! Get a jersey and make it Black. Then take some gold, pulverize it and the sprinkle it on the kit! Wait a minute... too glittery... don't want to look like the All-Star jersey...

Maybe just a gray kit, with black stripes and have 24k gold infused thread make an outline of the crest over the gray base?

Meh. Just throwing ideas out there. Not that it'll happen. We haven't had a third kit in how long?

 

I like LA's new black and gold third jersey. I wish we would have done something like that first...

I would suggest that for the city's anniversary, we should change the damn city flag.

I mean that thing is completely nondescript and just about worthless.

City flags can be kinda cool.

Why not Sunday Whites, a la the Lakers? All white third kit that only gets worn on Sunday, no matter where we're playing?
