Morgan Wallen is playing Ohio Stadium in August. They have expanded it to two shows and they're both almost sold out already.
I looked into getting tickets for me and one of my daughters...no chance I'm spending half a grand to sit in the cheap seats. I like Morgan Wallen, but not that much. Apparently couple hundred thousand people do however.
Apparently his new album has 36 songs and all 36 are in the top 100 singles, which is a record for most simultaneous songs. The album is at #1.
After 3 games, we are averaging 19,755 people per game, which is up 2.7% from last season’s average of 19,237. We haven’t even had nice weather yet for any of those games. That’s 97% of capacity. Not too bad.
When warmer weather hits, combined with the entertaining play on the field I could easily see a sellout streak through the end of the season starting.
And ... there was a Blue Jackets home game as well on Saturday. Att.: 17,860. That's over 35K in the Arena District.....
The past few posts were what I was just thinking. The weather has been utter dog crap the past two Saturday AMs. In previous years, it would have been enough to keep fans away. No roof, a questionable parking situation, a ticket exchange policy and a ton of other factors. It's been great to see the turnout. Some may still be a "new stadium bump" but part of it is undoubtedly the roof and the team's play. There's also plenty of places to hang out indoors before the game. Fans can get there early and don't have to worry about huddling near a fire pit or under a tent.
