Just fact checked myself as I was typing this: out of 30 appearances this year in all comps, we're at 11 goals and 16 assists. Granted some BvB games become high scoring and wild affairs, but ********. I would instantly take back all the shit I've talked about Isco if he had a 10G/10A season (2016/17 aside maybe?).

 

It is something he has expressed himself previously isn’t it, that he prefers playing central midfield. Unlikely that’s what he’s going in with as a demand, however he’s always playing in midfield for Austria for example.

 

I'm seeing these rumors that we might sell Varane to the BPL for upwards of 70mil and that would be an amazing move. We have Nacho who can easily start beside Ramos and we have Militao who we need to start using more. We could even try using Mendy at cb if needed without Varane. If we could sell him this would be one of the best moves made in recent years and we could buy an attacker for sure.

 

Yeah, selling Varane would be an amazing move. I have no idea why don't we sell Kroos, Casemiro and Courtois, while we're doing amazing moves!

 

Varane is no better than Nacho plus we have 50mil Militao sitting on the bench getting 0 playing time. If giving Varane a new contract is something that will prevent us signing more attackers then get rid of him, its pretty simple.

 

If Varane is getting sold he should be going for a record defender fee.

 

I know he's had his stretches where he's been underwhelming and also downright bad, but he's actually done really well in the absence of Ramos lately.

The contract situation means we probably won't get a large enough fee to properly reinvest into the squad.

 

You can't play Nacho and Militao instead of Varane. Even if you could, I'd probably go with Nacho only and player less.

What can you get for 50M? Mbappe's leg? What are wr, Villarreal?
