NYC - 75 years and older 1,312.67/100,000 People that age generally don't use public transit but the people that look after them do.
I'm a bit torn on this, at first glimpse this is a hard pill to swallow but it is honest and does not mean slowly re-opening won't happen within the three month time frame. linktoLATIMES note: I would try and link directly to the story but I think since their articles on the virus are free it will give a deadlink, this happened to me before.
All living organisms mutate. But those with a simpler structure are more noticeable when they mutate. That said, it was discussed fairly early on that flu viruses tend to mutate very quickly while this coronavirus is mutating very slowly. But, yes, it could mutate to something less severe, but the problem we are at is - and somebody correct me if I'm wrong - we don't know how it effects people the way it does? Why do some healthy people die? Why do some old people survive? Why are some kids getting Kawasaki disease-like symptoms? Why is the coronavirus attacking both the upper and lower respiratory systems? To answer the question of "less severe" we really need to understand what "severe" means in terms of this virus.
weird this is the link I get when I open the article from the main page of the site: https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2020-05-12/
Sorry. I did some quickness the other day and determined that over 50 percent of my county's numbers are from our DD care houses.
Interesting read and it speaks to my earlier post about Americans/Residents getting the “cold shoulder” because of our [emoji90]show of a response. “One thing is sure: Gone are the days of the American abroad, at least for those hoping to summer in Europe this year. The new models on how to reopen European travel do not have room for the American tourist for the foreseeable future. The European Union is set to release new guidelines called “Europe Needs a Break” on Wednesday that will recommend replacing travel bans with what they are calling “targeted restrictions” based on contagion levels and reciprocity among European and neighboring nations, many of which have been under draconian lockdowns backed by science. The key to any successful reopening in Europe is based entirely on risk assessment, meaning anyone coming from a nation deemed risky or careless will be the first to be banned. Simply put, anyone who has been under the lax American approach to the pandemic, which has been the laughing stock of Europe, won’t be welcome any time soon.” https://www.thedailybeast.com/with-...ut-to-find-out-what-its-like-to-be-the-pariah
The University of Washington just revised their prediction. Happy days.... . New coronavirus model from the University of Washington Medical School now projects 147,000 dead by August 4th This model, used by the CDC as well, is even higher. 186,904 dead as of Aug 4. https://covid19-projections.com/us
Funny to see how the chosen idiot is blaming everybody for things going wrong, while he's the one in charge. I would say get the feck to work on it all.
He would get to work but the list of everyone that he has to blame is very long and, well, first things first.
