    This f***in' guy...

The truly disturbing thing is that there are millions just like him. I find myself asking myself how so many people can be that stupid, but the answer is obvious. The millions of people thinking this aren't just thinking it independently, they're being told what to think by shady people in positions of power.

This guy is ignorant, misinformed, and even with the benefit of hindsight, is still insisting that he'd rather get sick than get the vaccine. And his reason for saying so seems to be that he'd rather make a bad decision on his own than listen to someone who's trying to tell him what to do.

This disease ripped through this country like a fire. Not embracing the vaccine because you're worried about side effects is like not calling the fire department to your house because you're worried about mold.

Just given my parents the bad (or maybe good) news. I'm not traveling to the UK amid this. But congratulations on opening up!

Basically, yes. They are talking about key workers as not having to self-isolate in they're double-jabbed so, inevitably, all the corporations are now trying to deem themselves as employing key workers, with vary degrees of success.

This is pretty fun - the vaccines at a cocktail party:

    I enjoyed it at least.

Speaking of the Olympics, no, there's no option to postpone another year. Each of the Olympic sports have their own championships with host cities deep into preparations for their own events. There is typically about a one year delay between the end of an Olympics and/or world/regional championships and qualifying for the next tournament. This is as late as they can be with 2020 and still allow for things to progress for the 2022 events. It's a series of dominoes, and Tokyo and the IOC know it's now or sometime in the 2030s (since 2024 and 2028 are already set for Paris and LA respectively).

Eric Clapton refuses to play venues requiring vaccines for concertgoers
    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-57934379

Eric Clapton doesn't believe in discrimination at concerts.

Also Eric Clapton, “Do we have any foreigners in the audience tonight? If so, please put up your hands … So where are you? Well wherever you all are, I think you should all just leave. Not just leave the hall, leave our country … I don’t want you here, in the room or in my country. Listen to me, man! I think we should send them all back. Stop Britain from becoming a black colony. Get the foreigners out. Get the wogs out. Get the coons out. Keep Britain white … The black wogs and coons and Arabs and f*cking Jamaicans don’t belong here, we don’t want them here. This is England, this is a white country, we don’t want any black wogs and coons living here. We need to make clear to them they are not welcome. England is for white people, man … This is Great Britain, a white country, what is happening to us, for f*ck’s sake? … Throw the wogs out! Keep Britain white!”

Even worse, he stole the Layla coda from Rita Coolidge. At least that's her story.

At least he didn't beat her up or rape her, as are his customs with women.

    That headline is misleading.

The UK appears to have stalled out in new daily infections the past 3 or 4 days now. Granted it's a short time period, but it's not showing the linear growth day to day that it was previous.

    Again, no they aren't.

The death count growth is currently linear and not exponential.

He didn't beat her up, his heroin addled drummer Jim Gordon did that before beating his own mother to death.

If this was France or Spain, keeping food out of the hands of the public would be a tragedy. But this is British cuisine we’re talking about. If anyone starves from this, it’s a mercy killing.

The guy who once quit the Yardbirds because they were too pop later recorded edgy, authentic blues classics like "Wonderful Tonight" and "I've Got a Rock and Roll Heart."

Supposedly one of his exes said that after he quit drugs, he had no personality at all.

Clapton is an awful human being and I can't even remember the last time I listened to his other work that wasn't Layla.

He also recorded a song with Van Morrison that was anti-lockdown. Least with Van Morrison you can tell he's awful but he has much better music than Clapton could ever dream of.

In a more logical world he would just be a well-regarded session man that a few people in the know knew about.

Let's be honest, Rock and Roll Heart is one of those cheesy 80's rock songs that plagued a lot of musicians from the 60s and 70s.

Unless he's paying for his hospital stay on his own dime, rather than you yours and mine (via higher insurance rates), ******** that guy. He has no damn right to spend our money.

    1) Pan pizza is for tourists, It's Chicago's version of Alcatraz.

    2) Our dogs are healthy, thanks much. All beef, various veggies, mustard. No cheese, no chili, no mayo. Gunk-free.

    3) No more fried chicken than anywhere else.

    4) Ditto for doughnuts.

Your list should have included Italian beef sandwiches. For those, I can offer no defense.
