Ehh, when you work we Dutch do have 13 months in a year. In pay that is. You get payed a 13th month. A foreigner on youtube talked about it. He contacted the salary deparment to report they made a mistake
That's pretty common in Latin America. In December you get the "aguinaldo" which is basically an extra month's pay at the end of the year.

Yep I worked doing zero-to-gross payroll for a Dutch grocery that paid on a 28 day schedule - works out to 13 pay periods a year. Though they needed a leap pay period of 35 days once every 5 years. Thought it was a VGL union thing - is it country wide?
