This is actually something that has been known for a long time, as the article details. There is a difference between the illness starting at a thousand points of infection in the body and a million points. I don't know if something nefarious is going on. But I do think that we should wait a while before before being convinced what the current coronavirus numbers are. We hit the peak right at the moment the numbers started going straight to the White House and not the CDC. A coincidence like that should make one at least a little cautious.
