Agreed. Both defenses look very good, so both teams have to try very high-risk passes to create any chances. Note that they're both creating a steady stream of such half-chances, which is already a big improvement over some of the early snoozefest matches.

If there is one thing that this makes clear it is that. No controverting that, none of the other African teams have shown as much touch on the ball and discipline on defense.

Gervinho looking dangerous on the left.

Ronaldo could have taken that one on his own. Missed opportunity.

    Game has gotten good now.

I'd say Ghana was very solid on defense (from what I saw) but certainly not the overall team that CIV is.

Rick James and Kalou have been on fire during this second half. These 2 just keep creating chances, and I have a feeling that one of them will eventually go inside Portugal's net.

Also, Drogba has sat back on the bench. Sven needs to save him for Brazil and Dear Leader's North Korea.

CDI is clearly the better team, but they're having a tough time converting possession in Portugal's third into actual quality chances. I think they need to put Drogba in soon.

This is a very impressive performance by Ivory Coast so far showing a lot of confidence. Won't be surprised if they pull off a win. Great game so far, poor ref. Hope he doesn't make any game-changing mistakes.

Drogba is about to come in for the Ivory Coast. This move better NOT backfire on the Ivory Coast because if it does, it will cost them big time.

Offside called on Rick James. Very close call in My opinion.
