Re: Costa Ricans Abroad[R] 2010 You can say that indeed. Voetbal International had an article on soccer statistics and concluded that Brian was the most efficient goal scorer with an incredible rate of about 50% goals out of chances against Suarez who needed about 4 times more chances to score.
Re: Costa Ricans Abroad[R] 2010 Tuma Martinez was voted Brescia's best player in their 0-0 draw against Reggina in the Sere B. Tuma has stayed injury free in the last few months and has been a starter in 4 consecutive matches helping Brescia have a much more solid defense. http://encuentrodeportivocr.com/ind...artinez&catid=41:gilberto-martinez&Itemid=183
Re: Costa Ricans Abroad[R] 2010 Jose Macotelo on loan from Puntarenas F.C to CUSA http://www.cdchivasusa.com/news/2010/04/chivas-acquires-costa-rican-josé-macotelo To bad the Alonso deal didn't work out. I'm sure another team with $ will call for him.
Re: Costa Ricans Abroad[R] 2010 Honestly, Alonso is in pretty bad shape right now, and showing poor form to boot. I guess he hasn't fully recovered from his injury. That, or being just married is messing him up
Re: Costa Ricans Abroad[R] 2010 so we have 3 players on Chivas USA already?? i just heard macotelo is there too along with umaña and dario right?
Re: Costa Ricans Abroad[R] 2010 I figured this would be the best place to post the following. I was at the recent Puntarenas FC vs. Portand Timbers match. Puntarenas FC won 3-1 over the home side. After the match the players from Puntarenas FC came over to celebrate with the home supporters. I shot this video and thought you might like to see it. I do know what abroad means by the way but did not see another place to post this. You can fast forward to around the 3:00 minute mark if you like. That is when the Puntarenas FC players enter the video. CHEERS!!! Re: Costa Ricans Abroad[R] 2010 Brescia needs to win one of its last two games to be relegated to SErie A!!
Re: Costa Ricans Abroad[R] 2010 Keylor Navas signs with Albacete of Spain's La Liga 2 for 3 years. http://www.marca.com/2010/07/08/futbol/equipos/albacete/1278614298.html Keylor Navas is now our 2nd keeper in Europe alongside Esteban Alvarado who plays for Dutch side AZ Alkmaar U-18 Alajuelense keeper Ricardo Rojas is on trial with Mallorca of Spain. http://www.navegalo.com/yashinquesa...-mallorca-de-espana&catid=51:otros&Itemid=125
Re: Costa Ricans Abroad[R] 2010 Michael Barrantes Rojas could soon join Norwegian club Aalesund. http://fotball.aftenposten.no/eliteserien/article174264.ece
Re: Costa Ricans Abroad[R] 2010 Let me guess...Jorge Ulloa is his agent ...this is why we are going nowhere...we keep sending players to mediocre leagues with these mediocre agents like Ulloa, Cespedes, and Shiffoloe or w.e his name is. We had an excellent U-20 WC and these agents were only able to place 2 players in decent teams (Esteban Alvarado with AZ Alkmaar and Bryan Oviedo with FC Copenhagen) and now it looks like Daniel Varela is having a trial in fukin Cyprus, Cristian Gamboa was loaned out to the fukin Norwegian 2nd division club, and Diego Madrigal was supposely signed by a Colombian club . I understand our players are trying to secure their future's with nice paying contracts...but what i don't understand is how these agents aren't at least able to get some of our players trials with mid table clubs in England, Italy, Spain, or Germany. It sucks since a player with a lot of potential like Celso Borges is playing in the Norwegian 2nd Division (he is better off leaving Norway and playing with Saprissa again IMO).
Re: Costa Ricans Abroad[R] 2010 Felicio Brown Forbes has just signed with Bundesliga club Nurenberg from Hertha Berlin. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12875_6260330,00.html This is the guy who's father is Costa Rican...and last year said he wanted to play for Costa Rica in the U-20 WC in egypt but was not called up. He was just recently called up by the the German U-19 team but said he would still play for the Costa Rican NT if given the chance....looks like we are going to lose a strong defender with a lot of potential due to our dumbass Fed...hope Germany never calls him up (glad Germany has lots of talent it still gives us a chance to call up Brown)
Re: Costa Ricans Abroad[R] 2010 Yet another Costa Rican to the A-league....... .......this makes him the fifth Costa Rican to play in the league (the third active player along with Melbourne's Hernandez and Angulo), and the second at Brisbane after Steven Bryce (who signed with only four games to go last season and was then released).
Re: Costa Ricans Abroad[R] 2010 Dennis Marshall (Formerly CS Herediano) has started to establish himself as a starter at the left back position for Aalborg BK (Denmark). He has started the first two games and scored one goal. Highlights: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-MVK1GOrG0"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-MVK1GOrG0[/ame] Marshall's goal is at 2.30 During the last match he picked up a minor injury, but he is expected to be ready for Saturdays game against FC Copenhagen (FCK).
Re: Costa Ricans Abroad[R] 2010 Junior Diaz....he plays as LB most of the time...sucks 90% of the time with the NT...cost us important goals in the WCQ's....but seems to be good in Poland...why? is a catracho joining Wisla?
Re: Costa Ricans Abroad[R] 2010 AZ Alkmaar has a back up goalie from Costa Rica, named Esteban Alvarado Brown. Is he any good? The national team goalie of Argentina, Romero is waiting for a transfer and at the moment Didulica is the numero uno. So I guess AZ bought him for the not so far future.
