Random, but does anyone know if fox sports one or two will show Aussie rules football? It’s one of the few sports actually going on, and I think fox has the rights to it.
Unbelievable that they're playing giving the circumstances. I reckon they'll suspend the season within the next 5 days so its all pretty pointless not to just stop now.
NRL, AFL and A-league all have plans to continue playing as long as they can. It will be interesting to see which code last the longest
Tajikistan first division starts tomorrow. They played the Supercup today. Anyone have bets on who will be the first league to resume playing? I just read the J-League moved back its proposed May 9 restart without announcing a new date. The K-League also hasn't announced a date, but the Korean Baseball league is already doing intra-squad games with an expected May start of the season. I don't think the China Super League has announced a date yet, either. Does DZAN still have the J-League? Any US providers have the K-League?
The Tajik Super Cup was actually a decent match. Thank goodness for Belarus and Nicaragua as well. Been watching at least 5 or 6 matches every week from those 2 leagues. And I now know the capital of Nicaragua because of it. Haha. Burundi is also playing. They are the Belarus of Africa. Belarus didn’t stop jack. The hockey league just concluded, and the handball and futsal league are going as scheduled. Sometimes having a dictator isn’t the worst thing. Haha.
DAZN does not have the US rights to the JLeague, nobody does at the moment, unless it was signed and unannounced during this break in the season, the first round of games were not shown here. No clue about the KLeague.
Go to the official Belarus Football Federation English language YouTube channel. All matches this weekend streamed live and free! I’ve been watching 6 or more matches every week. Also looks like they are on MyCujoo as well. Belarus stepping up their streaming game. The Tajik league is on MyCujoo as well. The Nicaraguan league streams one or 2 matches per round on their YouTube channel. Esteli streams all their matches (league and youth) home and away on their Facebook page and uploads them to YouTube on delay. Been watching all those matches as well.
Awesome. I don’t see any replays of Belarusian Prem matches on their yt but I will be checking some live action this weekend. Never thought I’d be so excited to check out Minsk v BATE Borisov but these are strange times.
Taiwan Premier League season started yesterday. It looks like they are streaming without spoilers on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkwIUUfDMVdF2gkWzu8Ashw
The Swedish top flight announced a 14 June start today. I think a couple of years ago ESPN+ would play the odd match from the Allsvenskan in the US.
I might follow the Swedish league this season if my degree of desperation continues on its current trajectory. Belarus is a level too low, even for me; no offense to those avidly following it.
Beggars can’t be choosers. It’s a steady diet of Belarus, Tajikistan, Taiwan, and Nicaragua. Haha Nicaragua starts their playoffs tonight by the way.
The Dutch Eredivisie 2019/2020 season is canceled. No surprise, considering their government shut everything down. No champion, promotion or relegation for them.
Not sure why they didn’t just do a 1 match playoff for the title in Sept or whenever they start up again.
Well, there were other teams in the title-race too. Or at least one other - Feyenoord. Other clubs might then jump in and demand a playoff for whatever position that had a good chance of getting - e.g. promotion from second division. Also other logistical issues. One being delaying the start of next season even more to have these playoffs.
