Lodeiro of Nacional is a really good player, he caught my eye ever since the Sudamericano game against Chile.

He just scored his second goal of the Libertadores.

Nacional de Uruguay is kicking ass. What do they think this is, the 1960's?

Dude, will you stop with this "1960s" line? I remember you said the same thing in 2007 when 2 Uruguayan teams made the quarterfinals.

SPFC 0 DIM 0 at halftime - my team is playing better, but their passing isn't the crispest. They need to be sharper if they're going to penetrate DIM's defense effectively.

They had several chances and they blew them - that hit on the crossbar was the closest.

If they keep this up and if DIM doesn't get lucky, SPFC should come out with a win.

I also noticed that this is very much a Libertadores match as opposed to a Brazilian league fixture - the referee (Argentine) lets certain situations proceed which IMO Brazilian refs would call as fouls. It's a different game when it's the Libertadores.

Colo Colo 0, Sport Recife 2 at halftime? Who would've thought.

LOL. One SPFC player tangled with a DIM player. The ref told them to cool it; they make peace and then the SPFC player immediately pushes him again. "Todo bien? todo bien... todo mal, duro poco la tregua," says the FOX Sports Espanol dude.

    BTW what does "rafaga" mean?

SPFC struggled last year at home in the group stages, with last min wins vs Audax and Luqueno. This isn't that shocking. SPFC always starts the year off slow. You don't want to face them later on..

And as always, SPFC scores at the very end, but this time for only a tie.

SPFC deserved to win this match. Yes I'm biased as a SPFC fan but SPFC dominated the match and had far more chances - I will give some credit to Bobadilla for key saves, but SPFC didn't lead by 3-0 after 70 minutes in part due to inaccurate finishing.

SPFC had at least 10 corner kicks during the entire match and had DIM against a wall.

Not the result I was hoping for, and not a result that reflects what really happened on that pitch.

Well, I will be really curious to see how Sport Recife will play at home... will they bunker like they did tonight? It was a rather frustrating game to watch. Of course Colo Colo should've played a more dynamic, one touch game on the sides but instead they forced center balls and dribbles through the middle of the defense.

Barticciotto will have a very uneasy week.

I can draw a positive from this undeserved draw: the team fought until the end. Other teams have choked or panicked after having dominated and then getting scored on. But SPFC kept its composure and pressed for a goal.

Yep, Audax lost thanks to Adriano. Trust me, I remember :)

I think Sport played better than CC the first half. They deserved the scoreline at halftime. In the 2nd half, CC played better. I'd say they dominated the first 30 minutes of the 2nd half. The last 15, Sport had some dangerous shots on goal, so 2x1 was probably the just scoreline.
