For once, we capitalized opponent mistake in one move.

Hopefully we keep being clinical like that.

Wow Chile just looks dull... not saying they didnt have chance but overall, we outplayed them this time.

This should be game over.... Pocho, Messi and Kun can just rest.

Our pressing in midfield is so full of energy! Loving it.

Vidal already being booked early certainly helped too. That guy just annoyed me.

Without Messi , he didnt get a short pass return or a throughball, so it would be hard to score. He'd get one eventually. Di Maria can be usefull but sometimes can be a clown doing unnecessary thing.

Biggest difference I have seen is the intensity with which we pressed....which is one of Tata's hallmarks. Maybe the boys are finally learning Tata's vision.

Good game by Kun and Lamela.

    Where was this energy before???

    Edit -- oh Romero.

I hate it when we're leading 2-0 and the team just took off the gas and took every chances casually. We could have top the group on goal difference if wasnt that goal.

We have 1 million chances in this game. Need to be more clinical especially at knockout out stage.

    Damn no clean sheet.

Gotta hand it to Tata for once, he had the team set up perfectly and they really hustled their asses out there. Some fantastic pressing and well executed counters. Messi should be able to sit out the entire group stage at this rate and really heal up.

Would've liked it more if we didn't give up that bullsh#t goal at the end, but I'll take the 3pts

    Love how we played today.

Messi should rest and I'd like to see Lavezzi in Gaitan place in next game. Gaitan , I dont think he's major tournament quality... other than that early chance he had, he did nothing. Bad cross, outmuscled in every turn.

Hopefully Pipita and Kun can get some goal in next 2 games to get their confidence going.

Yes, Higuain and Aguero, both, I hope get some goals. Confidence is a big deal.

Di Maria equalled Riquelme's NT goal tally, 17 goals.

He also managed to scored in 4 major tournaments he played in...2011, 2014, 2015, 2016. Also scored in WYC 2005 and winning goal at Olympic 2008. If only he didnt get injured in WC 2014 final and Copa 2015 final.

He appearently dedicated the goal to his grandmother who just passed away.

Loved the win; it hopefully gives Messi more time to recover.

Take care of business vs Panama.

Didn't really watch the game but I saw the extended highlights. Good ol Romero, makes big saves then allows a goal like that.

Got the 3 points. I'd rest Messi v Panama as well. No need to risk it.

But what has happened to Shiiiiilay? Was Sampaoli that important to them?

They need to be more clinical... Lamela & Kun for intense, took their chances too casually. The goal conceided can be easily prevented, but the team just let it loose after the second goal. Reminds me of the first WC game against Bosnia.

Yeah if they finished more of their chances it would have been a laugher despite Chile's own somewhat admirable play.

That's what Panama and Bolivia will be for I guess.

I really really really love Di Maria
Despite the incosistent critics (i understand where they come from) he is still my favourite player for ARG, always have been, despite i recognize obviously Messi is the best.
Like i said to my husband before the match "Di Maria has always been our most important player, if he plays well, we will be unstopabble". And i still think we would have won the world cup with him playing the final. Oh well.
    RIP angelitos granny.

    Argentina played great yesterday
Still think Arg is by far the best team in this Copa, no contest, and this tournament is even easier than last Copa for us to win.
Of course, then we could get to the final with HAITI and lose, because we are CEBOLLITA SUBCAMPEON.

But, in paper, again, like last year, is not even close.

Agreed we had way too many chances and wasted them. This match should have ended 4-0. We cant lose this kind of chances at knockout stages or we will be out. Kun, Pipita, need to be more clinical.

btw, what do u guys think of Pipita?
My husband HATES HIM, and it was actually so much fun watching the game with him, he was cursing pipita non stop the whole game, i was laughing.
I like pipita, i think he is a great player, but i get where the hate comes from, giving how he keeps failing in finals

should he be a starter or kun?
