I don’t know how many chances we had today. We’ve got a team full of Fatsos.

Emi, Gio and Lio can return. The rest of the starting lineup can piss off.

Piss poor from so many players. Time to make some radical changes; we won’t have a chance in hell vs Brazil anyway so I’d just like to see us go all out attack for once. Play a high line, with Romero back, and keep the ball as far away as possible from those clowns at the back.

sidenote; Rodrigo De Paul with one of the worst ever midfield performances I’ve ever seen. His only «contribution» is running around and looking busy. Does not do anything of note with the ball and are a ghost without it.

To be honest, this team looks like quarterfinalist material at best. In second half, we literally lost every 50:50 ball to Chile, and this Chile was below average side.

As others have pointed out, ******** VAR! Get rid of it. If a ref missed a call because of human error, so be it, but if you have the device to correct it and still mess up, what is the point?

We should’ve killed this game off long ago. What is wrong with these fools?

I am absolutely disgusted with the sport. If this is a penal then this sport will devolve into a var penalty fishing competition. Vidal rushes shoots miss initiate contact but wins a penalty? HOW?

At some point this penalty rule needs to change. If you are going to say contact=penalty then the game is ruined because var will always show SOME contact see Ramos getting a penalty when initiating contact....Rule needs to change so non-scoring contact maybe get an indirect foul

either way this wasnt a penalty coudlnt even watch the rest of the game had to puke after that

THe worst part wasnt even the penalty, but 18 shots only resulting a single goal from Messi's magic. Back then we struggles to create clear chances against Chile but this time, we had PLENTY and we blew it with Pipita like finishings or pass it back to Messi.

I have a hard time believing a not 100% dybala isnt better than a lot of these guys on the field. Neither FBs offer anything going forward

There is no way that midfield is hanging with Brazil/Uruguay. Gio had a good game but wow was RDP a passenger

Nico was terrible in front of the goal today. Missing golden chance after chance. Then when he was in good positions to shoot he passed it straight to chilean defenders. Should get another 45 min next match before someone else needs to start

Yep, Acuna over Tagliafico, Kun plus Correa over Nico and Lautaro. Nothing against Nico and Lautaro, they did well up to previous round of qualifier but they've been poor in past few weeks. We need some crosses from the flank. Some of opponents aerial clearence might fall into our forwards.

Lautaro probably burnt out from too much games with Inter , he usually got the pace even if not clinical but not this time. Nico just recovered from long injury.

I dont think the midfield was the main problem , we created plenty in this game, Lo Celso was lively in first half.... so its the finishing that has been big letdown. Giving away a penalty seems like a tradition for this team aswell. Tagli was good in positioning but he's slow and there's no cure for that... especially when you're paired with Otamendi.

To me the team didn’t play bad.. had finishing been clinical, the score could have been 4-1 and everyone would be talking about Argentina being so good. We played a decent game but didn’t know how to finish it.

It’s a no-brainer that Otamendi needs to go, while players like RDP, Paredes, and Montiel really need to begin showing why they should start, but it isn’t a terrible team. Ironically our weakest part for the first time is our attack, with neither Lautaro or Nico gonzalez convincing

Thinking back at the Messi-Aguero-Higuain trio being so prolific during the 2014 WCQs makes me realize how much we took that attack for granted (at its prime). Lautaro and Nico are good players, but they never look complete, at least not at the level you’re accustomed to Argentine forwards being

Our 2nd most talented player is Dybala.

Have to start Aguero against Uruguay- Lautaro is just spent.

Is Romero going to be back?

Otamendi seriously can't play period. A blunder against teams like chile means guys like Neymar or Suarez are gonna feast on him. Scared of what Neymar could do to the RBs too

Subbing out Lo Celso was the worst sub Scaloni could have made.
