the first casualty of the signing of Nesta,he goes for reportedly € 8 millions, which will balance the books somewhat.

    he wouldn't have played anyway

It can't happen, Spain's transfer deadline has passed.

If it had we would really have to start calling them the Milan Reserves.

Well, it's official Contra is going to Atletico Madrid. The Spanish transfer deadline is tomorrow I guess. :(

If they sold him for $8 Million I would be upset. He has the potential to be one the great right wing/backs in the world. Why didn't we sell Brocchi or Ba? Both of them weren't even on the UCL list. But Contra was so I guess Milan will have to go into the Champions League with just 24 players.

Atletico better give us something when we want it. In about two years time when we need another stiker Milan will call up Atletico and ask for Fernando Torres and I'm betting that we will get him. Or at least I hope we get him.

Am I crazy or does A. Madrid look like a contender for the title in Spain.

    Coloccini
    Contra
    Albertini
    Jose Mari
    Moreno
    F. Torres(future Rossonero ;) )

They drew 2-2 at Camp Nou yesterday so that tells you they won't be any pushovers.

    You're crazy ;)

Atletico have one of the worst looking defenses in the league. They were lucky Barça couldn't shoot straight because a 6-2 or 7-2 game wouldn't have been out of order then. Atletico will be a midtable team with an outside chance at a UEFA Cup birth.

And I guess Barca's defense is great. Face it, you do not need to defend in Spain. Real doesn't even have a great defense.
