According to elo, concacaf has three top 32 teams, asia has 2 or 3 and africa has 1 or 0(japan and algeira tied for 32nd). Us, Mexico and Iran are in the top 20.

 

There were not many games, so not many changes in the December 2021 FIFA Rankings. The only changes in the Top 10 in Concacaf were USA up 1 to 11th, and El Salvador down 1 to 70th.

 

https://www.fifa.com/news/belgium-and-canada-take-2021-honours-in-fifa-rankings says "This year’s ‘Most Improved Side’ are Canada with a 130.32-point gain." USA gained 103.51 points in 2021. The next rankings will be on Thursday February 10.

Costa Rica passed Canada for third. The bottom Octagonal team fell below a team not in the Octagonal. The 35 teams combined to fall 9 spots, and 7 of that came from 7 teams being below Cook Islands, who played and re-entered in 190th after dropping out due to inactivity.

 

The CONCACAF rankings should be released on April 1.

Cuba is 26th in Concacaf in the FIFA Rankings and 13th in Concacaf in the Concacaf Rankings if you take out Martinique because they're not in the FIFA Rankings.

None of the Top 10 moved within Concacaf. Trinidad and Tobago in 104th is the only other team in the top half. 11 of 35 teams (31.4 percent) are in the top half.

 

Canada has only been "Good" for about 2-3 years. I think the FIFA coefficient is based on like 4 years.

 

The FIFA Rankings used to be based on four years. Now they are like ELO where every game transfers X points from one team to another. That type of rating is not based on a fixed number of years. The flaw in the FIFA Rankings is that X is too low, so games do not cause as much change as they should.

Trinidad and Tobago is the only other team in the top half. 24 teams (68.6 percent) are in the bottom half. 18 teams (51.4 percent) are in the bottom 46 of 211. The mean Concacaf team dropped 1.05 points, and 24 teams did not play, so did not change their points. USA passing Mexico was the only move within Concacaf.

Crazy for me to think that Guatemala is ahead of Honduras and El Salvador.

 

It wasn't too long ago that Honduras at the 4 spot on lockdown
Now they are 9th.
