yeah, i just read the same thing. that sucks. we had 4 teams (the U.S.), and now we will have 2. how will the 2 teams be determined? i didn't see it in the article that i read.

My bet is the Open Cup and MLSCup winners.

Before the 16 team format , the US spots went to the MLS Cup winners and the runners up. I do think that there was a playoff spot for the Supporter Shield winners.

I would like the spots go the MLS and Open Cup winners,but it is not up to me.
