That my friend is a problem I'm willing to have all season long. Considering a shortage of personel at DM, it would be interesting if Wenger would try to play TV5 as a DM.

    Creepy like a fox.

Got my Verminator shirt in the mail today. Looks like I should be a playing D&D or going to a Rush show.

why would you want a new signing if Vermaelen is getting fit?

    makes no sense.

thats what im thinking. we would have 3, fairly solid CB's.. and that awful french bust.
djourou is an automatic starter for me.

It's really thrilling to see Djourou performing so well. When he got his extended run in the 08/09 season I became convinced he was going to be an Arsenal man for years.

It looks like he's finally cementing his spot these days and I'm happy for him. He's genuinely good.

Agreed, he's been outstanding. I wasn't so sure he'd ever make it here but he's stepped up. Him and Vermaelen could be immense.

I've learned over the past few seasons to stop assuming a player will get healthy when Wenger says he will.

not to mention that our luck with the recovery time on someone who has been out this long has not been . . . stellar.

ok, so lets say we go out and buy another CB. What happens next season when we have 5 CBs (3 we payed high fees for, 1 who has become an automatic starter and 1 more that provides solid depth)??

the only way we get another CB is if it's a young, inexpensive prospect that's capable of providing the occasional depth for the first team like the South African guy that was mentioned in the summer.

we currently have the ideal situation. We have Djourou who cost us next to nothing and has become one of our best. We have Vermaelen who was brought in to be a starter. We have Koscielny who was brought in to challenge for a starting spot and we have Squilaci to provide solid depth.

well, maybe the competition is a good thing, and you do need 4 in the team.
but at any rate, bartley is coming back to the team next season. he is having a good season with sheffield united from all accounts.

squillaci wasnt some high fee guy... it was like 3M quid or 4M Euros.. something like that.
