Montreal bad. If Crew lose, @chr1st be sad. The Crew have the distinct pleasure of visiting Montreal to help pop the cork on the Impact's home opener (!!). They've had a fair showing as road warriors to start the 2019 campaign (2-2-2), but the Impact will be happy to return to the comfy confines of Stade Saputo. Montreal may, might, could possibly be without the services of a certain Ignacio Piatti, which will be a definite boon to the Crew. Additionally, les garçons en bleu are coming into this one on short rest after playing Benny's Boyz to a thrilling 0-0 draw in D.C. on Wednesday Tuesday night (thanks, @hangthadj!!). Bottom line: JUST WIN, BABY. Discuss.
Excellent choice in going with latter day Arcade Fire, and a song from their best album as opposed to their early overly earnest U2 wannabe stuff. And in reference to THE GODDESS, Celine Dion, let me recount this story from Friday night: "I just BEGGED Kathleen to go see Celine Dion with me when she comes to NYC next year. Her response? “Oh god no. Absolutely not! I’m APPALLED! I’d rather go see the one NOT DEAD member of Steely Dan. NO!” I have 10 months to convince her. In the meantime, I’ll take the small progress on the Steely Dan front." Additionally Les garcons en bleu played Benny's Boys Tuesday night. No Piatti, Our Party. Crew 2 - 1 Montreal
The Quebecois weather gods seem to be approving of Les Impact's 6 match delay to their home opener. The forecast is for temps in the upper 50s and maybe some sun. Could be windy, though.
Were there nights that the wind was so cold that your body froze in bed? Or days that the sun was so cruel that all your tears turned to dust? Don't worry. Because on Saturday night there will be moments of gold and flashes of light. It will be a night of endless pleasure, more than the laws of the game should allow. Glory to Columbus.
Now IMFC return to what is likely to be a euphoric Stade Saputo — where they went 11-4-2 last season — for their home opener on Saturday, welcoming East leaders Columbus Crew SC (1 pm ET; TVAS in Canada, MLS LIVE on ESPN+ in the US). I’m optimistic for a draw I’m not drinking the same sunshine whatever mixed drink you guys are on.
I chase everything with strawberry daiquiris and hate beer , all beer. I also rarely drink and didn’t drink at all for about 15 years until a few years ago . Im just saying even if Piatti doesn’t play ( any articles on that ?) I’m not convinced we can score enough goals to win . Thank God we have steffen or this would be a automatic loss .
It's cultured, I admit. Montreal Impact boss Remi Garde: Ignacio Piatti out at least two more games "Ignacio Piatti (knee) will miss the Montreal Impact's next two games, head coach Remi Garde confirmed on Thursday. The Impact face New York City FC away from home on Saturday (1 pm ET | MLS LIVE on ESPN+ in US, TVAS in Canada), then have a midweek match at D.C. United next Tuesday (MLS LIVE on ESPN+ in US, TVAS in Canada). Garde added that Piatti's status is up in the air for next weekend's home opener against Columbus Crew SC."
That’s the same article and only one i could find. Was hoping for a update . Maybe they are saving him for this game it’s rather important they win . I think he plays at least off the bench if the game is a draw or they are behind in second half .
He picked up this knee injury in mid-March. Even if he does play, I have to assume he's not entirely match fit.
The Impact are owned by Joey Saputo. He's sort of the idiot in a rich family which made its money in the dairy business. Milk, butter, and cheese prices are much higher in Canada than in the US due to government policy. It's something Trump complained about quite a bit last year when negotiating the new trade agreement with Canada and Mexico.
Saw her a year or so ago. She looks like hell but her voice is still shockingly strong. If you can sit through one of her power ballads - PoL being a perfect example - and not feel something in your spine you are, quite simply, dead.
Not bragging, but its what she wanted for our anniversary. Orchestra seats. You don't want to know. Toss in dinner with a nice St Emilion and cocktails afterwards and it was really obscene. I know how to treat a lady. But then, putting up with me every day for 30 years ought to get you something and Im not authorized to pass out sainthood
No home record to go on, but 2-2-2 on a 6-away game stretch isn't too bad. This will be a tough one for the boys in yellow. A tie is a positive result. Predicting a 1-2 loss.
I came here to say almost the exact same thing. The West Ham Sandwich/BigStern collaboration goes beyond Good/Bad/Ugly apparently. I'm not feeling grouchy so I'm sticking with tie which means 1 goal lost is almost guaranteed.
