I forgot to updated..........it seems it wasnt julian, but it was luis quiñones......... but reports are confusing.........
From what I remember in watching julian quinones, he seemed to be in a class of his own in those u-20 matches. Id prefer to get a closer look at him than morelos, but thats just me.
It is almost a rock and a hard place type of situation. Qinones can hurt us because he can stab teammates. Morelos can hurt us because he can stab opponents on the field with his cleats.
Sucks for him. I think don't think he had a chance to make the Copa roster anyway but this basically kills any slim chance he had.
¡Nicolás Benedetti se pierde lo que resta del torneo con América! 🚑🤕La lesión sufrida ante Juárez ya cobró factura para el colombiano. Estará fuera por 2 meses debido a una fractura en el quinto metatarsiano. 🤕🦅 pic.twitter.com/lYJ8Bal0Er— SoyReferee (@SoyReferee) April 11, 2019 get well soon. wont be seeing him at the copa
Julian Quinones got hurt today, left on a stretcher. There's only about 3 games left in the season before they start their playoffs. Let's wait and see how serious it is.
Stefan Medina was one of the best players in the final against tigres, he should be an option for copa america......due our deficit of right backs and cbs
I can (kind of) see him as a RB backup, but I think that he's at the very best 5th in the CB pecking order (Mina, Sanchez, Zapata, Bernardo, Murillo, Tesillo). If JGC and Arias are healthy, there's really no need to call him.
I don't want to condemn a player for his mistakes when he was just developing, but in all honesty, the only good game I saw from Medina with the NT was against Venezuela. He might or might not be having a better season than some of the other CBs (Mina, Murillo, Tesillo), and probably he had more minutes than Cuadrado, but I don't see him as more than an afterthought, or if 3 or more of the guys mentioned are injured.
