Never seen the guy before, but a couple things are obvious from the clip: 1) he's got crazy, deceptive acceleration across short space. Like he's able to burst out of the press time and again regardless of whether he was standing still or just receiving the ball. 2) he's able to connect passes from weird and indirect angles, using both feet and his head These are qualities that some of the best CMs have--although that 2nd one might be overstated by the highlights. However, the #1 thing I want from a Colombian CM--the thing that's been missing since Abel--is something you can never tell from a highlight reel. Uribe is almost NEVER in the space he needs to be for his teammates so that the ball can keep moving. I hope this dude has the head for that.
Just back from injury, Valoyes with a MEGA GOLAZO!
A lot of chatter about River signing Valoyes in a cash plus player swap. I'd prefer Valoyes go to Europe now (or never) but if he stays in SA playing for Gallardo at River would be solid.

He looked very promising when he debuted, but he's stuttered in the past year. I like the move, even though this may be one of those cases where he's back in 6 months with barely a minute played. He's not dethroning their 5, the other two CMs are both young, too.

According to this article, Valoyes wants to leave "si o si" during this transfer window, but Fassi is playing hardball...
Fassi is completely full of it. He's squandered the prime of Valoyes' career to squeeze a couple of shekels out of him. He's been swearing for multiple windows that he has interest from Europe but they just don't offer enough... His master plan was to smokescreen Europe so he could get a big offer from the Saudis but Valoyes, thankfully put the kabosh on that. Colombia needs a pure RW so bad and Valoyes is a perfect fit if we could get him to a good developing club with the right coach it would be perfect. Or rather if that had happened last summer it would have been... This has been a wasted year of development and value accretion because of Fassi. If I were Valoyes, I would be just as frustrated too. If Talleres had sold him last summer to a solid Bundesliga side and kept a solid % - everyone would be better off right now.
Fassi is the worst. He's squandering Valoyes' career.
Pretty crazy the amount of guys who aren't on anybody's radar yet manage to thrive in Argentina. Castrillon's cross assist was beautiful.
Another great game for Castrillon. You can see his versatility in this vid really well. In the first half, he played on the right wing and had several decent shots on gol. in the 2nd, he played on the left and whipped in several crosses, including the brilliant tying assist at the end.
