I’m not displeased with Rueda but yeah, we have 6 games in the next 4 months and we need at least 12 points, and the team lacks consistency and is still not clicking.

On the negative side, Rueda’s roster sucked and he brought a lot of people that should not have been called and a lot of worthy options he didn’t even test. Also, we don’t have left backs and our right backs are inconsistent. It also worries me that we’re somewhat dependent on a 10 but have to give our wingers such heavy duties. Finally, are we going to give Zapata unlimited chances, or is Borja or another forward finally jumping over him.

On the bright side, the CBs and DMs looked set, opening a window for offensive LBs even if they suck at defending, and Diaz is at a great level, lifting the burden from Cuadrado and whoever plays as 10. Also, seems like Muriel would click a lot better with Diaz than Zapata and that Chara can play the very poor man’s 10.

I was dismissive of Yimmy until last night. Hopefully James or Juanfer return to form, or another prospect is called and is at a decent level, in which case Chara is out. But if we have to stick with him, I think he wasn’t completely out of place.

idk, Rueda has 4 points in 2 games of WCQ and a 3rd place for a Copa America so im fine with him.

My dude ... It was sheer comedy when C4 tried to cross him the ball in the box and Yimmi is like Muggsy Bogues out there...

We have better options don't be conditioned to settle. Say NO to la rosca. Say it with me.

You have to know who your target is. Stockton used to say that if a pass didn’t reach his teammate was his own fault.

Seriously speaking, I’m not calling for him to be our first or even third option; I’m just saying that he wasn’t as bad as I expected him to be. All in all, out of a 28 man roster, he would probably be in the mid 30s in my list, yet if we have a ton of out of form, injured or untested midfielders, he could be an option.

Back when futbol was played by men

Hard to believe anyone in this team pic is under 30. Funny how today’s generation of athletes have get all tatoo’d up to show how “badass” they are

They all look a 130 pounds wet…. Just because you have a beard doesn’t make you a man.

think people just think Glory days when they are younger.

I mean that team shit it’s pants every time it matter and the U20 from 2005 did as well. Perfect chance to get us a 2nd copa america and James decided to be a diva.

This was written a few days ago about players Rueda should keep an eye on:
    https://www.futbolred.com/seleccion...copa-america-y-sirven-en-eliminatorias-140058
    * Arqueros: Álvaro Montero, Iván Arboleda, Éder Chaux, Juan Moreno, José Luis Chunga.
    * Defensores: Luis Manuel Orejuela, Wálmer Pacheco, Jeison Murillo, Déiver Machado, Yerson Mosquera, Gabriel Fuentes, Johan Mojica, Cristian Borja. Santiago Arias (si está recuperado y jugando)
    * Volantes: James Rodríguez, Steven Alzate, Jorman Campuzano, Víctor Cantillo, Juan Fernando Quintero, Yairo Moreno, Andrés Andrade
    * Delanteros: Falcao García, Jhon Córdoba, Luis Suárez, Roger Martínez, Sebastián Villa, Luis Sinisterra, Juan Camilo Hernández, Cristian Arango, Santiago Moreno.

I think it is a pretty darn good list and basically what I would have written.

I know Ryu wants the kids in Argentina so we can add them to the list.
People seem to be in love with Atuesta so I will add him.

    Who else would you add?

What a joke of a list. It's just the guys Rueda called to his microciclo, obvious guys who've already represented Colombia, and Cucho, who the media loves for some reason.

Hey man, you can add to the list. No need to say the list that I completely agree with is a joke.
