Soccernet has a mediocre match tracker. 0-0 after 10 mins. Panama had an early corner.

    cheers,

In the past couple of minutes, Colombia has had two nice chances. The first was a header off a CK, went just high. The second was a shot from about 12 yards out on the right side, the goalie managed a kick save on it.

And there was another chance, a point blank shot from the right side about 10 yards out, off the goalie.

Ouch - Colombian forward Hurtado makes a sliding attempt for a ball in the left corner, and unfortunately for him the Panamanian defender accidentally comes down with his foot right in Hurtado's crotch. Hurtado seems ok, he went off the field.

This is a good start to the Gold Cup, with a nice crowd. Colombia definitely looks like the better team, they should end up on top.

Renteria from Colombia gets a yellow card at 38', for pushing a Panamanian player down (with a chest to chest bump) after the play was over. Most of the play the last 5-8 minutes has been in the Colombian offensive end.

Man, Colombia is getting chance after chance. A nice cross from the left side, right near the end line, header by Colombia just wide right. It's halftime, still 0-0

Halftime stats - Colombia 7 shots, 4 SOG. Panama 2 shots, 0 SOG. Some nice saves by Panamanian goalie, some shots taken right at him as well by Colombia. They should definitely be up at least 1-0 at this point.

Colombia should be winning very easily, but seems that patiÑo doesn;t know to score
and the panamenian goalkeeper is so good, because of him panama is not losing at least 3-0

If I spoke Spanish, I'd tell you what the commentators are saying at halftime....something is "muy importante", but I'm not sure what :D

(I'm thinking that it might be putting the ball in the goal.....)

Fortunetly for us Penedo has been in the right spot at the right time.. he got beat on that last header.. but it was about a foot wide or so.... about last 8 minutes was all Colombia.. Panama started shaky but caught on, until last 8 mins..

Sorry, I have to head out and go to a meeting, so someone else will have to give the play by play for the second half.
