This team lacks chaos. We have people like Monsalve, Cortes, Puerta and Luna who are technically gifted and physically decent, but we don't have speed and close control dribbling. That thing's needed too. There's no one in this call up with this qualities, the closest is Manyoma and he makes 2 good and 3 bad plays.

Important win that brings us to 4 points, tied with Paraguay for head of the group.

Cortes and Puerta were obviously the players of the match, both playing their hearts out and getting us on the score board twice.

But I think an honorable mention goes to the Castilla kid. Kid plays hard. Runs everywhere, gets physical, and keeps the ball moving. He had the key steal that lead to the corner for the 2nd gol.

Puerta to Brighton in 3,2,1... Not a surprise whatsoever, same for Cortes, they are undoubtedly the best players of the team. Then there's players like Monsalve, who I've been following since he was 13 years old and that I consider one of the most gifted players I've ever seen in Colombia, but who needs to learn when to release the ball faster. Mina's brother was very good too.

The team was losing in both games and showed pretty good spirit to come back from adversity.
At least we can say that about this team when compared to so many youth teams past.

Argentina is not looking as great as people made them out to be so there's that.
Brasil we can draw if the stadium is filled up and intimidates them a bit.

Then a second round clean slate at altitude in Bogota and possibly Duran as a reinforcement and we may be in business here to make it to the mundial..

I didn’t watch any of the games. For those who have, did any particular players really stand out (NT potential for 2026)?

to me gustavo puerta , miguel monsalve, and oscar cortes stood out to me so far. gustavo puerta seems like he might be a good box to box midfielder for the future.

Jesus what a ********ing golazo from Gustavo Puerta!

If he has not stand out with his assists in the previous games, a goal like that against Brazil surely does!

Up 1-0 against brazil. Golazo from Puerta outside the box.

First game Ive watched and based on what i e seen the team looks good, quick and skilled and direct unlike many of our teams from the past that would pass the ball backwards for 90 mins.

i knew that miss was going to bite us in the ass eventually. besides that in general the team played great in the 1st half. puerta is the best player on our side, he defends, goes forward, has great vision, and that goal was crazy. Castillo kid is always playing great. luna as well. ocampo is de better than mina. and diego luna has been good. come on we need to win this

Zuleta is trash. Cabezas is decent, but he has looked awful this tournament.
