Bowl W-L by Conference. If I made mistakes somewhere in there, please let me know. Mtn West: 2-1 Pac 10: 3-2 Conf USA: 3-2 Big 12: 4-3 ACC: 3-3 Big 10: 3-3 SEC: 3-3 WAC: 2-2 Ind.: 1-1 Big East: 2-3 MAC: 2-3 Sun Belt: 0-2
But it still doesn't mean the conferences are equal in terms of overall strength. The SEC played two ACC (Miami & Virginia Tech), a Big 12 (Texas A&M) and three Big 10 schools (Iowa, Minnesota & Wisconsin) while the CUSA schools played 2 WAC (Hawaii & Boise State), 2 MAC (Bowling Green & Marshall) and a Sun Belt team (North Texas). I don't doubt there's equality amongst the same level of play, but CUSA would've likely gone 1-5 against the teams the SEC played (with Louisville likely to drop someone.) (yes I realize that's 6 SEC games and 5 for CUSA, but it's assuming you threw in the next best CUSA team.)
