I've been slow to take to Fraser, but he's getting to the point now where his body of work is large enough that its starting to speak for itself. Hope it continues.
I liked him as a player on the old Foxes, and was pleased with the hire but really didn't expect this much success. I sometimes wonder if Fraser is REALLY that good as a coach, or maybe as a talent evaluator. They always said Sir Alex excelled in evaluating players. It is sort of our same front office, so I have trouble thinking they all of a sudden figured it out. Our next job is to extend his coaching contract. As I recall he signed two years ago to a 5 year deal. Maybe four years? BTW Brentford opening hosting Arsenal is 2-0 at 87 minutes. R

So I just realized something. Fraser could lose every game left this season and lose all 34 games next season and he would still have a higher career PPG than Hudson (0.91 to 0.77).
Guessing that Robin's agent will be using stats similar to these when contract renewal time comes around.....or well before then.
We need to resign him and pay him market rates. I don't ever want to hear that he is up for consideration for any MLS HC opening.
We do, but the reality of the situation is that a well performing coach will always be linked to "bigger" jobs, even in the same league. As long as he's not actively pursing them we're good. And in regards to the rumor earlier this summer about an unnamed team (but clearly Toronto), what I've heard is that TFC knew they had to ask Colorado for permission to talk to him, because their fan base would question why they didn't ask about a successful coach with Toronto ties, but they were fully expecting to be turned down by Colorado, which they were, and Robin had no interest in the position either.
I just randomly came across this piece on Robin Fraser in The Denver Post archive (written more than 20 years ago!) about the level of excitement in Colorado when the Rapids acquired him for the 2001 season. Kind of fun to look back on: https://t.co/ILUQKydKoq #Rapids96— Daniel Boniface (@danielboniface) September 15, 2021

As mentioned Fraser will end this season with the best career PPG of a Rapids coach no matter what. Worst case this will tie for the 5th best Rapids season. 2 more points makes this a top 2 season. 59 points, 8 more, would be a new Rapids record.

Fraser could lose every game next season and he'd still be midway between Clavijo and Houghton. He needs just 30 points next season to stay on top of the career record.
