I watched part of the NZ-Bahrain WCQ a couple of weeks ago, and I was surprised -- Elliott didn't suck so much in that game. (Although to think that one of those teams will be in the WC, while one of Costa Rica / Uruguay and four of the eight European teams in the playoffs will miss out...) Too bad he brought the suck back for this game. :(

I love how his eyebrows are perpetually angled downwards like he's angry.

no comments on the John Doyle interview? If I heard that correctly, I think Convey's done. But then, that wouldn't surprise anyone here.

My Dad and I started watching after the Goat goal. We're not too bad, but not playing too well.
I like how McD, Shea, Leitch, Weber and Burling have played
Indifferent about Corrales, and Convey (although he's drawn good fouls), Johnson, Sanchez,
    Dislike Elliot, Alvarez

If we keep giving some of these good young players good time, I think that'll help a bunch next season, so I'd really like to see Zaher in and Corrales central with Elliot on the side line.

    Go Quakes!

I was reading between the lines. "Whoever makes that kind of salary needs to be an impact player" is the magic quote for me. It tells me they don't think they're getting their money's worth. I think the rest of the interview was just soft-pedaling to CYA if they change their minds.

Interesting.....but I've heard that Convey's contract is guaranteed through next year. They could trade him, but I don't know if they can just cut him. Or my sources about his guaranteed contract may be wrong....

Scary clearance by bobby nearly deflects to a chivas in the box

Artie's lack of a right foot kills another attack

(Ive decided to do slight play by play i guess) =)

    Go Shea!

Quakes seem to be coming to life a bit, nice move by Salinas there to earn a free kick.

    Leitchie with 2 assists.

It still puzzles me why some here doubt his abilities with the ball and want an upgrade at RB... I think RB is the ONLY position where we don't need an upgrade.

Yes! Now let's see if FY has them turtle for the rest of the game or keep playing strong.

Totally agree about Leitch, I actually think he could be the MVP of the team this year. Johnson, I'm not as high on. He does score goals, but he doesn't do much to help others score. But that was a very nice finish.
