Could be an interesting lineup in light of the current injury situation and the case of the "lockerroom flu" going around.

What is your predictions? Would be nice to see some new faces just to give the lads some valuable experience, but I doubt much will change. Sagnol and Scholl not being available will hurt. Is anyone in yellow card trouble yet??

    Probable Lineup:
    ..................Kahn
    Kuffour..Lucio..Demichelis..Brazzo
    .................Ballack
    Hargreaves.............. Ze Roberto
    .................Frings
    ........Makaay....... Pizarro

Substitutions will be Guerraro (Pizarro), Schweinsteiger (Ze), Deisler possibly.

I prefer if we played some of the younger boys instead of the experiened guys seeing that we already qualified for the last 16

pretty much but also guys like Ottl, Semler and Stienhofer that have been good in the reserves, they should get atleast 15 mints. although i dont think that they are registered to play in the CL :(

Brazzo is out till new year due to the surgery. Don't understand why we have a plague on both side defenders

id like to see deisler and schweini start...

id also like ballack to play and not interrupt the confidence hes building...

maybe give frings a rest and go with

    ________________ballack
deisler________________________big ze (anybody seen 'city of god' ;-))
    ________________schweini

i think maybe guererro should start, but i like him coming off the bench and the impetus he provides, so probably best to keep it that way...

defense seems to be a big problem and especially with the game against stuttgart in mind...

    maybe
kuffour kovac demi rau (how come nobody wants him to start? or is he injured?)

    so thats my team...

    ________________________kahn

    kuffour________kovac_____________martin___________rau

    _______________________ballack
    deisler_________________schweini_________________big ze

    _______________makaay__________pizarro

    subs in: hargreaves, guererro, trochowski...

PS - IMPORTANT: i just saw that ive received 'reputation from some of you here. now while i dont know what that is, it sure as hell sounds good, so id like to say thank you :)

    My team is Rensing
    Kuffour-------Lucio-------Demichelis--------Rau
    Deisler------------Ballack----------------Ze Roberto
    -------------Schweinsteiger
    -----------Guerrrero------Makaay

Bring on Pizarro if we can't score.

I think Magath will rest Makaay on the second half, so Pizzaro and Guerrrero will play together. Also, he might take ze roberto out and switch Schweinsteiger to the left side and bring on Deisler.

Other probability is Ballack will make way for deisler, deisler likes to play the MC, so why not give him a chance to prove himself.

We need to rest some key players for the vital match against Stuttgart. if we lose, stuttgart and schalke04 will run over our face

I'd love to see Bayern amateur side visit amsterdam though it's impossible :p

Subs: Guerrero for Makaay, Rau for Schweini (and switch Ze to LM), and Deisler for Hargreaves.

Nice! This is the exact lineup I would pick for the Stuttgart match. Well done mate! ;)

I do like your bravery in putting Ze Roberto in the back, but man... I just being another Roberto Carlos. Too much attact and not enough defense. You make a good case with your substitutions though. Nice.

This lineup might work if they focus Ballack defensively more to the left to help he and Demichelis to cover for Ze Roberto, and playing Hargreaves a little deeper with Frings pinching more right.

    ...................Rensing
    Kuffour...Lucio..Demichelis..Ze Roberto
    ........................Ballack
    Hargreaves
    ................................Schweinsteiger
    ...............Frings

Another thing we have not mentioned here as far as lineups go is Magath's tendancy to play with one lone striker (Makaay) in any away fixtures in the CLS. He did this in Israel and Italy. Now I know this was prior to the team playing as well as it has been of late, but with the current injury crisis, this could be a strong possibility.

Thus, alternate "away" lineup would feature two defensive midfielders:

    ......................Kahn
    Kuffour......Lucio......Demichelis......?????
    .........Hargreaves......Ballack
    Schweini..........Frings...........Ze Roberto
    ........................................................
    .....................Makaay

I really hope that we donot see Hargreaves at LB (Dont forget the Leverkusen match) in either of these matches. Magath should change the formation to a 3-5-2 so that he doesn't need to worry about the fact that every single one of our outside backs is injured.

    ---------------Kahn
    -----Kuffour---Lucio---Demichellis
    ------Hargreaves---Ballack
    Schweinsteiger---------Ze Roberto
    ---------------Frings
    ----------Pizzaro---Makaay

    From FCB site

    Probable line ups:

Ajax Amsterdam: Vonk - Trabelsi, Grygera, Escudé, Maxwell - de Jong, Sneijder, Galasek - Rosales, Anastasiou, van der Vaart

Bayern Munich: Kahn - Kuffour, Kovac, Lucio (Demichelis), Rau - Hargreaves, Ballack, Frings - Deisler - Pizarro, Makaay

actually kinda surprised on the lineup. I guess they have not totally given up on Rau.

Very interesting. I am not too suprised at Rau's inclusion... he has been getting a fair amount of time on the reserves and doing quite well. I am not convinced yet on Deisler in the middle. Looks as though his midfield of Owen-Michael-Torsten will be a more defensive force thus allowing the Deisler-Makaay-Pizarro threesome do the lion share of attacking. I expect Magath to grind this one down to a draw and try to slip one in at the last possible chance.

Would like to see Rensing, Schweinsteiger, and Guerrero personally.

im glad to see rau given a start... (it does sound like hes starting based on the latest report on fcb.de

    almost forgot about hashemian...

id like to see him play too... the lineup (probably) is almost as i expect/want it...

would like to see schweini start and one of frings/ballack given a rest

personally, i dont care if we lose badly...
we should start all the fringe players we can, and if they do well, nothing like it..

if they dont, oh well, im sure we have the mental strength to not let it affect us

Is anyone aware of a webstream for this game? As great as bigsoccer play-by-play is, I'm dying to see it for myself.
