We've got Musa back. The team announced he'll be returning.

Big Musa is back! 6'5 Centerback is ready to play! I wonder if Pittsburgh still thinks Caughtery can beat him up...

Now, now, let's not be like them. We have far more important things to discuss than some team propping up the table the next league down.

Yeah, yer living in the past.

Stop hating Pittsburgh and start hating San Juan, Puerto Rico.

    For some reason.

They're just such an easy target... :D

Nah, we'll find someone else to hate. Just not sure who that will be yet...

There's something you could do on the 29th. Spin the Wheel of Hate to determine who will be hated in 2009. You could make it eye-catching like the Price is Right.

And then play Plinko to determine who the coach will be.

Islanders play in Bayamon, not San Juan

Yes but no one has heard of Bayamon.

(Except me of course. I call several medical facilities in the area for my job)

No, in Cleveland. However, I am the only one in my office with even the most rudimentary grasp of Spanish. I speak a little unfortunately I can't think in Spanish so I give the person my spiel, trying to impress on the person that I speak little Spanish. They then respond in very rapid Spanish. Not as fast as Mexicans speak in general, but faster then Colombians (again in general) But I can't understand. I need more immersion.

I contact medical facilities and doctors in order to obtain various medical records.

Interesting... A certain Max Cream seems set to be joining you guys... 21 y/o yank striker who's been playing overseas for several years... If nothing else he should make for some amusing supporter song themes.

Max Cream! I've been reading about this guy in the Yanks Abroad forums for years, is he really coming to Cleveland?

He used to write a diary on yanks-abroad.com, seems that everywhere he went, he played well, but somehow got a raw deal. His dad used to post updates too a while back. He he really coming to the City Stars?

He is going to be joining your team for the 09 season, and very excited about joining such a fast growing, ambitious club. I hope the City Stars draw the Galaxy in one of the inter-league competitions as I'll be sure to be standing in 138 (quietly) cheering him on.

Wu-Tang? Cleveland is Bone Thugs territory! :D

I still say that we use the chorus to "Cream" by Prince, like silent suggested

Damn you guys are going to make this season fun, Evan Bush, Cream, you are putting together some really nice names for a brand new USL-1 side. Major props. Really love the organization and its commitment to true soccer. Will definitely be looking forward to seeing you guys play. Cheers.

I don't know how famaliar anyone here with contracts but if you are under an MLS contact are you allowed to play for a USL team. I believe Eric Brunner did last year. Columbus was unable to sign him after NYRB ripped up his contract (but offered him a developmental deal which was refused but still allowed NYRB to maintain his rights)

Would CCS pursue Brunner and Balc? Columbus is rumored to offer a developmental deal and since he'd be at home he could consider that options. Surely CCS could up with more money for Brunner than an MLS development deal.

As for Balc, I have heard over on the Crew boards that he is pursuing Romanian deals but hasn't played organized soccer (that I know of) since OSU's season ended last year. I wonder if he'd consider an offer just to stay sharp. Didn't Balc play for CCS Jrs the first year (or was that his brother)

Like I said, this just wishing.

There is definitely an ability to loan players back and forth, there had to have been at least 20 players loaned between USL and MLS clubs last year.
