Conejo makes 3 sick saves, and then, of all people, Jehu Chiapas drills it into the corner (no.la celebró). San Luis 1-0 Pumas HT.

Team is looking very limited offensively, although that should not surprise anyone.

I was really looking forward to seeing what player would take over Palencia's spot and what they could bring to the team but so far it's really evident that we are missing some of the salida that paco brought to the team.

Still, Campos is young and has brought some solid energy to that position. Looking forward to his progress

Still waiting for Cortes to pick it

    Orrantia has been shit too

Fawk man at this pace we will be lucky if we make it to la liguilla.. true that Santos is a great team and superlider and we were all over them at the end but we need better strikers... Bravo has been dissapointing lately, cacho and herrera are too slow. I think if herrera made his debut maybe two years ago at least he would be way better by now (23 and barely debuted last year) ... Don't we have any better strikers in our cantera????

Cortés continues to disappoint. If he ever decided to get it going, then the team will be better.

I don't think Herrera has been bad, he's a pretty good poste type of player.
He did really well in that play were he out muscled Baloy in the box.

We just don't have players that really suit his play

Orrantia, Bravo, Cortes are not going to provide him any decent service

We are getting totally outplayed at home by Puebla (even before the red card to palacios) and it's looking grim. This team sucks. Like Chivas, this phenomenom of staying with youth only works when you have veterans to guide them not with Martin Bravos.

That right side of the field is suck a weakness
Orrantia doesn't defend and neither does Cortes

Sticking Espinoza is not going to fix anything

********, i hope we can at least go on a serious run in the concacaf

I've been saying it, Herrera is a really good poste type of player

Never loses possession when he's got his back to goal

Maybe we should hire Beckenbauer as a consultant. That would be good for a win, no? :D

well today's game was a great improvement, i couldnt watch the whole game but from what i saw the team looked solid, also im glad that jose antonio garcia scored his first goal and is showing good things as RB because we werent having a good time with espinosa there
and we didnt need beckenbauer :D

Yea, last 2 games have been a big improvement

A lot more emphasize on the defense and it looks like Memo found his midfield partnership in Espinoza and Cabrera

Hopefully Garcia is able to turn to a decent RB. Could help the NT in the long run.

I wonder what's up with De Buen. He's not making the bench but i think he's playing with the U20's. I would like to see what type of form he's in.

Let's keep the momentum going against Tecos this sunday

Is it wrong that i don't want the team to go into the liguilla? Mahbub is taking the no refuerzos to an extreme. Its good to not bring in refuerzos for some time when you want to give the cantera a chance but its definitely not a long term plan for a team like Pumas. Its just not feasible if you want to post good results more consistent.

You just cant sell your best players and think that the least experience can carry the team. You need a balance team if your not going to bring in refuerzos but that has not happened. Even Dante is missed at this point. You deny your manager refuerzos and put on sell a $200 jersey WTF is that. Has Mahbub been taking tips from Vergara.

We have gotten rid of our more better and experience players, we need those refuerzos. Am all for giving the cantera a chance but we need a balance team to be competitive in this league.

It's been 4 years since we last got a refuerzo, i think were due, no?
Can't think of another team that has gone as long without revamping their squad

********, just bring back Barrera and i'm happy

They are a bunch of morons. They couldn't stop slinging shit at Palencia, Castro and Leandro and how the team is going to improve when they leave and now they have to eat crow because they are as bad as ever. It just so horrible to read the mentality of the mexican fan of not having any analysis and just throwing blame a lo bestia.
