2:45 start Rick, not 3:45. Oops. Okay, I'm caught up. Looks like we should get one soon. It would be great if we got one before the half ends. Psychologically big for us and a killer for them. If they hold out though, it might give them some hope for the 2nd half.
It's halftime, 0-0. uefa.com is killing me -- updates are spotty, at best. Thanks for the updates, Ian.
Halftime. Arsenal 0, Borussia Dortmund 0. All accounts indicate that minus a couple of flurries, it's been a slow and disappointing half. Seaman has not been called into action yet.
Halftime stats from uefa.com: Arsenal 4 Shots On Goal 3 Shots Wide 7 Fouls Committed 2 Corners 0 OffSides Dortmund 0 Shots On Goal 6 Shots Wide 6 Fouls Committed 2 Corners 0 OffSides Dede picked up the only booking, a yellow in the 14th minute.
My take is that it's been more a case of the offensive players trying to beat down the doors. It's not an accident that Ljungberg and Bergkamp are in the lineup. Still, you have to wonder how much Freddie can give you and when Toure will replace him.
48th minute Gilberto plays Henry through and he buries the ball past Lehmann, but the flag is up for offside.
49th minute Keown beats Koller in the air off a Dortmund free kick. 50th minute: Luzhny plays one into the box, but too strong for Bergkamp to get a head on it.
51st min The words Dan has been waiting for all afternoon... Metzelder shoved to the ground by Bergkamp, free kick. 52nd minute: Evanilson shoots high and wide from the edge of the box.
54th minute Keown and Koller continue to battle, and this time, the German gets a freekick, which Dortmund promptly waste.
54th minute Henry flicks a header on to Ljungberg, who's leveled by Metzelder. Free kick from the center of the arc. Henry curls one over the bar.
58th min Freddie's taking a beating in his return. Evanilson dumps him late, but Frisk leaves the cards unused.
