The Spanish papers have been saying Cristiano Ronaldo would be a Real Madrid player for three years now too.

I think they're full of shit. Barca isn't that stupid. They know Bayern is coming to fight for a victory even if they don't advance.

Henry missed training yesterday with a fever and will probably be replaced by Hleb.

But I think Iniesta and Messi will start. I think they will sub once they know they've got it put away.

    If that happens.......... ;)

I remember about 4 years ago when Bayern needed just one more goal to force a tie for overtime to potentially advance against Chelsea, but left it too late in the end. Mehmet Scholl came on late and set up goal two and scored goal 3 if memory serves me correctly in stoppage time.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Champions_League_2004–05#Knockout_stage
    --------------------------------
    Second leg
    2005-04-12
    Bayern 3 – 2 Chelsea
    Olympiastadion, Munich
    Attendance: 59,000
    Referee: Manuel Mejuto González (Spain)
    Lampard 30'
    Pizarro 65'
    Guerrero 90'
    Scholl 90+5' (Report)
    Drogba 80'

    Chelsea won 6–5 on aggregate.
    -------------------------------

I felt at least that there was some kind of vindication to the tie, given the result. I think Drogba scored first that match and put the game nearly out of reach until Scholl's heroics.

The match has the same feel, but the mountain that must be climbed is quite a bit more insurmountable I am afraid.

I think if we at least go out fighting, win-lose-draw, it at least serves as motivation for the remaining Bundesliga fixtures.

I think after last week embarrasment, Bayern need to think first on having possetion of the ball, I see no point in going all out to the attack and leaving the back open for another Barca fest.

I think the most important point is our midfield, vBommel and Ze Roberto were no match to the speed of Iniesta, Xavi and Keita.

I know most ppl here will not like it, but I think a line up like this would give us a better chance today:

    ------------------Butt

    Lell--------Lucio-------Micho-------Lahm

    ------------------Ottl

    ------vBommel------------Ze Roberto

    Sosa-------------------------------Ribery

    -----------------Toni

Believe so. I will follow the ticker here at work, watch the game later tonight when I get home.

Maybe Spike Lee can film it and call it "Miracle at Allianz"? LOL! :D

    Yes....live on Setanta....now definitely worth the $14.99 per month!!:D

PISSES ME OFF that ESPN won't carry both games live....how many freakin' channels do they have that they could show these two games? I guarantee you that FSC will find a way to show ALL CL matches live next season! Their quality of picture may suck now, but hopefully they get it in gear for next season and show the matches in HD. ESPN has all the resources in the world (figuratively speaking)--there's no reason that these matches shouldn't be live!

    Today's ESPN Listings....starting at 2pm:

    ESPN
    SportsCenter
    Outside the Lines
    SportsCenter Special
    NFL Live
    Jim Rome

    ESPN2

Typical... ESPN would not show Bayern if their collective lives depended on it.

ESPN in oceania shows almost every CL game in the group stages itself. Like one live, one right after and one in the afternoon for each matchday.

The english clubs and the 2 spanish ones get preference but you can watch every bayern game almost starting from the groups

Yiieeeeppie, no Schweinsteiger !:):) Even though there are still Lell and Ottl, it should be a good game for Sosa, but....playing with Lell is making it a bit harder...

    Barca with their best formation...
