I have a soft spot for Zenit due to their popularity amongst Russian pop culture influencers (movie actors, music bands, etc...). Hope Chelsea don't score more than 5.
Rolling out a really strong lineup which is honestly, really concerning for me. I get the need to start strong, but we're rolling out basically our best side. Good thing we get 5 subs here. Surprised not to see Saul and Chilwell start.
Decent start from Jorginho - helps when there are no opposition players behind him, mind. Not such a great start from Mount but he’ll keep trying.
we need to move up a gear and quick passing. Need a little more accuracy from Mount and some more energy from Ziyech.
Really poor match from us. Not sharp anywhere IMO outside of Kova and the three center backs. I'll take the 3 points though. Rom is gonna come up spades for us.
Hopefully a case of playing to conserve as much energy as possible for the sp*rs game on sunday. Could do with some sharpness there. Fingers crossed cp and kante will be available.

Zenit are a decent side I don't understand why some people thought this would be an easy game? It was the first time I was in Stamford Bridge since Covid struck sure it wasn't the best game for my return but Zenits organisational quality was apparent (think they'll give Juventus a good game). On a side note Covid has turned getting in to the stadium as a bit of a nightmare!
