Chelsea fan translation: “utter rubbish, get out of my club” performance in reality, I think he has a solid day, and Pioli should be happy with it
The first goal - CP did well to get to the line and pull back a cross but the keeper is taking a lot of grief for spilling the cross. The assist was an ok pullback and very nice finish.
I would agree. He worked hard and I felt that he was a positive from a defensive perspective. Offensively he was solid.
Pioli comments ... “We played a game that wasn’t easy tactically. To be dangerous we had to be balanced, but some cracks showed. We controlled the game. Okafor played a very good game: he can play as a striker or as a winger in place of Leao. I have many flexible players, perhaps only Chukwueze can only play on the right. Jovic is also recovering in good condition, who gave me good sensations against Verona.”
I thought this was a a really solid/mature performance from Pulisic, though not spectacular. You could say he was a bit lucky to create 2 goals but it's also hard to point to anyone for Milan who played better than him. He had a couple of errant passes but was the most dynamic attacker for Milan. He seemed to step things up after Milan went down a goal. Chuck had a few nice runs but faded and looks like a one trick pony. It's a good trick though and worked a long time for Robben. I was expecting more from Hernandez but he was pretty quiet today. Not sure if it was part of the tactics to have him stay back more than usual.
Well done, for our lad. I did not like his role today as opposed to how he played against Verona but he made the most of his limited touches. I like that he plays a bit more patiently. I actually thought he seemed to cue into the fact they needed to be playing one twos. Like he knew why Milan were struggling to create chances and tried to add some dynamic movement. Theo simply looked disinterested today. Perhaps easing back in after being out?? It looks as if he is learning to "read" the game in front of him, and not try and force something that isn't there. Not to worried about Chuk taking any of CP's minutes. I believe Pioli is also going to figure out Musah may be part of the solution at midfield? Forza Milan!
it is so important to score that goal for oneself as opposed to connecting and pulling in your teammates so they can help the team win. : - )
I only saw the first half, but dang, Milan played so slow and static. I get that Cagliari was sitting back, but Milan players barely moved off the ball.
Except for Pulisic. He was constantly making darting, diagonal runs that begged for a daring ball over the top to no avail. He only received the ball on the touchline or coming short and had no one for one-twos.

He made a few (one of the only ones), but sometimes was also just standing around. Again, I only watched the first half. Overall Milan was very static.
