Jeju United 0-1 Tianjin Teda. Former Benfica striker, Yu Dabao scored the winning goal in the 55th minute The game was broadcasted on Shanghai Sports TV (Sopcast)
apparently this result is pretty rare in Chinese football just read from the news: After the revamp of the AFC Champions League, Chinese Super League teams have not won an away game against any Korean team for eleven times consecutively (infact they all lost). The last game that a Chinese team won a Korean team in an away game was Shanghai Shenhua 1-0 Jeonbuk Motors in 2004.
3 HOURS 15 MINS later. there will be Hangzhou Greentown vs. Nagoya Grampus (Japan) link: http://www.rojadirecta.es/

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkZ3RrRNCMw"]YouTube - ?? ????2-0??? Hangzhou Lvcheng 2-0 Grampus Eight[/ame] Ok here's the highlight for the the entire match, the second goal is pretty nice! Hopefully they can keep this up and not just collapse in the later rounds. Hope we can see more than one Chinese team in the last 16 this time!
Both results very impressive. Especially Hangzhou's - a victory against last year's J-League champion in their first ever ACL game. HZ must be so glad Guangzhou and Chengdu got busted in 2009....
Nearly 30,000 at Hangzhou last night for the game, according to the ACL report. Very respectable attendance. http://www.the-afc.com/en/component/joomleague/?view=report&compID=410&matchId=3441
i heard that for the jeju united (home) vs. tianjin teda match the home attendance was low, hence the empty stadium. shanghai vs. kashima coming soon hopefully i would still be up to watch with you all
I'll be at the match myself tonight. will write something up on http://wildeastfootball.net/ afterwards.
Jeonbuk Motors 1-0 Shandong Luneng Park Won-Jae scored the only goal in the 60th min. Huang Bowen did not make his debut for Jeonbuk today.
Minor Off-Topic: For those who are interested.. AFC Cup South China (Hong Kong) vs. Persipura (Indonesia) Link: Sopcast: 96147.
Shanghai Shenhua 0-0 Kashima Antlers Shenhua didn't turn up until the 30th min, the new foreign players looked like they never met each other and until the second half the team were playing kick and run football. Thankfully Shenhua picked up in the second half and attacked the wings, it's just a shame that Jiang Kun was playing there because he dosen't have the legs to run at players and should have been playing in the middle to spray his passes. Overall Shenhua fans can't complain too much with the result (Though many of the fans at the stadium were), it was the first game of the season and many of the players weren't match fit, however if Kashima were themselves match fit it could have been a different story.
Not true that they all lost, I know the record has been bad going away to Korea (though Chinese teams have done fairly well at home against Korean teams other than last year), I know Shandong at least earned a draw in Korea before and I think Changchun did as well.
Looks like the Shanghai game had over 20k attendence, not bad. Just wish they could of pulled it out!
Yep that's right I was there. Fairly mediocre game, but the start of the season is always a bit slow. Check out my report on http://wildeastfootball.net/
Nice, I was at the Shanghai v Sydney FC game couple years ago in Sydney, stadium was pretty empty though.
AFC CHAMPIONS LEAGUE - GROUP STAGE - ROUND 2 FC Seoul 3-0 Hangzhou Greentown looks like Greentown couldn't keep up with its winning way. Tianjin TEDA 2-1 Gamba Osaka Chen Tao opened the game by scoring the goal for Tianjin TEDA in the 25th min. Korean striker Lee Keun-Ho equalized in the 35th min. Later, Cao Yang sealed the victory for Tianjin with a penalty in the 53th min. props to the Japan team for keeping up the competition, especially the earthquake hardship.
