Actually ever since I slightly dissed Alexis he has been playing superbly for about 15 minutes, runs, passes, no errors. When he left Barcelona he wasn't quite good enough to get in the team, even though he did well there. It was a good decision to leave, especially with the purchases of Neymar and Suarez coming up. Sanchez actually improved after leaving Barcelona, and in the first half of the 14-15 season was probably the best player in the English league, and easily Arsenal's best player, but wasn't quite as hot in the rest of the season, and he hasn't looked quite effective in recent games for Chile. Even when they won the Copa America he was only Ok by his standards. It's starting to look like he may just have been playing above his true level in 2014 due to high confidence and great form. At that time - second half of 2014 - I think you'd have had him in the best 20 and maybe best 10 players in the world.
Great save - I thought that my sneak in. Good shot, Sanchez continuing to play well. Just can't quite find the goal.
Bolivia playing the bunker game, Chile cant seem to penetrate I expected much more from the copa america champions
Jhasmani Campos Dávalos (born May 10, 1988 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra) is a Bolivian football midfielder who plays for La Liga club Villareal and the Bolivia national football team]]. Campos is known for his long distance shots, play-making, technique and high penalty kick conversion rate. It is a well known fact that he has never missed a penalty kick in his professional career to date. from wikipedia it also says he has 2 goals from 27 matches for Bolivia. The teams he played for before Villareal are nothing special.
Well, Chile have been the better side. More chances, possession, territory, attacking, quality, whatever. The only thing to say in favour of Bolivia was just such an amazing goal and it's possibly Chile's goal would have been saved by the keeper if it wasn't for the deflection, whereas Bolivia's was just a great goal.
A draw is not really a good result here for either side. Bolivia will likely be on the way home. Chile should go through if they beat Panama and so do Argentina but it doesn't leave much room for error.
