They're playing a game and City are good!

So are we, so are we....

We seem to play better against top sides, now if it was their shit crosstown rivals, I'd worry, don't know what our jinx there this year is about :(

We will have room to play, they can be bothered by effective high presses, they will have room to play, we are bothered by teams that, well, come to our end, 5-5 draw or nil -nil draw, until decided late in extra-time by a Hershey-Header

And since I am never close on this:

    ------- ----Kepa---------
    --------Zouma---Rud---Az--
    James--Jorg--Kante ---Kov--Alonso
    -----------Mount
    -----------------------Tammy

Not that it seems to matter much but City have lost 5 of their 15 away matches this year. That's fairly beatable, albeit City in the mood are a quality side with tons of depth as we saw today.

Looking forward to seeing what this healthy squad can do but nervous as heck about our slow full backs and rusty CB's against that attacking prowess.

    I can see a 1-1 draw.

Tournament football suits Citeh. 5 subs and water breaks. Suits us too. Squad depth and fitness. Heatwave about to hit the UK too. Start Tammy and Pulisic. We shall be better calibrated with Jorghino back in the team.

Suspect it will be mainly counterattack opportunities. Not much possession. To me that suggests Pulisic offensively, and not Pulisic defensively.

Looks like Aguerro is out for our match. Left knee damage and has traveled to Spain for doctor visits.

Aguerro has been an absolute Chelsea-killer; he has scored more PL goals against Chelsea (10) than any other player.

We've had our fair share of players who like to score against certain clubs. Something Arsenal fans know all too well.

I hear all Arse fans still fall to the floor and weep with ptsd, every time the song "Who Let The Dogs Out" is played.

Pep says Newcastle FA match the focus, not us or scouse this week; so we may only have to face Foden, Sane and Bernardo rather than Sterling, David, Mahrez :whistling:

Mahrez has played 2 in row so he might actually rest, think we can score on this team a bit, hopefully enough. Time for Kepa to become a legend, he will near certainly get opportunities to make a miraculous 1 on 1+ save or two.

indeed; my point is they have 3 sets of top class attackers regardless of their flavor of focus

No doubt. Their only weakness is CB.

I’m not. We’ve looked down right flaccid at times. I’m not confident that we’re going to go out and get goals or make this close

So can Chelsea attack through the middle, or beat the outside backs to get there?

I mean it’s all on paper the game has to be played and an individual moment of brilliance or misfortune or mistake is all it takes to capitalize for any team or player. We’re not chop liver just not as good or as deep as City. We have players that can beat them tho. Even if I’m not expecting a favorable result.
